Analisis Vegetasi dan Pendugaan Cadangan Karbon di Kawasan Hutan Cagar Alam Lembah Harau Kabupaten 50 Kota Sumatera Barat
ABSTRAK
MHD. IKO PRATAMA : Analisis Vegetasi dan Pendugaan Cadangan Karbon di
Kawasan Hutan Cagar Alam Lembah Harau Kabupaten 50 Kota Sumatera Barat,
dibimbing oleh Delvian dan Kansih Sri Hartini.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai Mei 2015. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur dan komposisi jenis tumbuhan serta
kandungan cadangan karbon yang tersimpan di Kawasan Hutan Cagar Alam
Lembah Harau pada tingkat pohon dan tingkat tiang. Intensitas sampling yang
digunakan adalah 5% dari luas kawasan 270,5 ha. Sehingga luas areal pengamatan
adalah 13,525 ha dengan membuat plot berukuran 20m x 100m sebanyak 68 plot.
Pada masing-masing plot dibuat sub-sub plot berukuran 20m x 20m untuk pohon
dan 10m x 10m untuk tiang. Analisis vegetasi menggunakan kombinasi metode
jalur dan garis berpetak. Sedangkan pendugaan biomassa menggunakan metode
non destructive sampling. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh 80 jenis tumbuhan
dengan jumlah individu sebanyak 246 individu/ha. INP teringgi pada pohon
ditemukan pada jenis Rhodelia teysmani sebesar 53,33%, sedangkan pada tiang
yaitu pada jenis Nephelium mutabile sebesar 46,30%. Jumlah cadangan karbon
tersimpan pada pohon dan tiang sebesar 62,57 ton/ha.

carbon stocks stored in Nature Reserve Forest Lembah Harau at tree level and the
