ABSTRAK
Penelitian yang berjudul “Pelatihan Drum Pada Anak Usia 7 Sampai 12
Tahun di Sekolah Musik Cimahi Drum Lab” ini memiliki tujuan untuk dapat
mengetahui materi, tahapan, dan metode pelatihan drum yang diberikan
kepada siswa usia 7 sampai 12 tahun. Alasan dilakukannya penelitian ini
dikarenakan adanya dominasi siswa usia 7 sampai 12 tahun di sekolah
musik Cimahi Drum Lab. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif
deskriptif, sehingga hasil penelitian dapat dijelaskan secara lebih rinci.
Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap tiga orang pelatih dan 12 orang siswa
pelatihan drum di Cimahi Drum Lab yang berusia 7 sampai 12 tahun. Siswa
yang dijadikan sampel diambil berdasarkan usia, setiap dua orang siswa
mewakili satu kelompok usia. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan
yaitu observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Dari hasil
pengolahan dan analisis data, ditemukan adanya materi yang diberikan
kepada siswa usia 7 sampai 12 tahun adalah berdasarkan buku ajar untuk
tingkat basic dan intermadiate. Tahapan dan metode pelatihan yang
digunakan pelatih sesuai dengan prinsip umum pelatihan dan karakteristik
anak usia 7 sampai 12 tahun.
ABSTRACT
The research entitled “Drum Training to the Children around 7 To 12 Years
Old in Cimahi Drum Lab Music Sc hool” is aimed at finding the subject, the
step and the method of drum training which given to the student around 7 to
12 years old. The reason of this research is because the domination of
student in 7 to 12 years old at Cimahi Drum Lab Music School. This
research has used descriptive qualitative method. Three trainers and 12
students around 7 to 12 years old had been taken as the object of the
research at Cimahi Drum Lab. The students who became the sample of the
research are taken based on their age, every two of the student represent one
of the age classification. Observation, interview, documentation, and library
research are the techniques chosen in collecting the data. The results of the
research shows that the subjects that given to the student around 7 to 12
years old are based on material book for basic and intermediate. The step
and the training method that used for the training is based on basic principle
and characteristic of the training for student around 7 to 12 years old.
