Penambahan Sabut Kelapa Pada Media Tanam Dan Frekuensi Penyiraman Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Kelapa Sawit (Elais guineensis Jacq.) Di Main Nursery

Chriso Juanda, “Penambahan Sabut Kelapa Pada Media Tanam Dan
Frekuensi Penyiraman Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis
guineensis Jacq.) Di Main Nursey” , dibawah bimbingan Charloq dan Revandy
I.M. Damanik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon penambahan
sabut kelapa pada media tanam dan frekuensi penyiraman terhadap pertumbuhan
bibit kelapa sawit di main nursery. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari
2017 hingga Maret 2017 di PPKS Aek Pancur, Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa,
Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan
adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan dua faktor dan empat ulangan. Faktor
pertama yaitu penambahan sabut kelapa terdiri dari 1/5 sabut kelapa dan 1/10
sabut kelapa. Faktor kedua yaitu perlakuan frekuensi penyiraman terdiri dari
sekali penyiraman ,dan dua kali penyiraman. Pengamatan parameter adalah tinggi
tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, dan total luas daun.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan penambahan sabut kelapa
dan frekuensi penyiraman berpengaruh tidak nyata dalam pertumbuhan bibit
kelapa sawit, dan interaksi keduanya berpengaruh tidak nyata.

ABSTRACT
Chriso Juanda, "The Addition of Coconut Husk In Planting Media And
The Frequency Of Watering On The Growth Of Palm Oil Seeds (Elaeis
guineensis Jacq.) In Main Nursey", under the guidance of Charloq and Revandy
I.M. Damanik. This study aims to determine the response of coconut coir addition
on planting medium and frequency of watering to the growth of oil palm seedlings
in main nursery. The study was conducted from January 2017 to March 2017 at
PPKS Aek Pancur, Tanjung Morawa Sub-district, Deli Serdang District, North
Sumatera. The research design used was Completely Randomized Design with
two factors and four replications. The first factor is the addition of coconut husk
consists of 1/5 coconut husk and 1/10 coconut husk. The second factor is the
frequency of watering treatment consisting of once watering, and twice watering.
Observation parameters were plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, and
total leaf area.
The experiment results showed that the addition of coconut husk and the
frequency of watering had no significant effect on the growth of oil palm
seedlings, and the interaction both of it had no significant effect
