ABSTRAK

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perilaku pencarian informasi Komunitas
Manchester United Jatinangor melalui internet. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah
deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh anggota Komunitas Manchester United
Jatinangor. Sampling yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah probability sampling simple
random sampling dengan sampel (n=74). Lokasi penelitian ini adalah Moby Cafe. Metode analisis
yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis tabel. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kemampuan
yang tinggi pada tahap inisitation (tahap awal pencarian), selection (tahap pemilihan informasi),
exploration (tahap penjelajahan informasi), formulation (tahap penyusunan informasi), collection
(tahap pengumpulan informasi), dan presentation (tahap penyajian informasi).

ABSTRACT

This research is aim to determine the information seeking behavior of Manchester United
Community in Jatinangor via internet. The method that used for this research is descriptive
method. The population in this research are all members of the Manchester United Community in
Jatinangor. The sampling used in this study is the probability sampling simple random sampling

with a sample (n = 74). The location of this research is Moby Cafe. The analysis method that used
in this research is the analysis of table. This research issue is a high capacity at initiation stage
(initial phase of the search), selection (selection phase of information), exploration (exploration
stage information), formulation (preparation phase of information), collection (information
collection phase), and presentation (presentation of information phase ).
