ABSTRACT
This research is aimed to determine the radiation dose rate in Radiology
Installation of dr. SoehadiPrijonegoro Hospital Sragen, as well as to create a
contour map of the radiation dose rate in this hospital.
The radiation dose rate measurement is done in an irradiation space before
and during x-ray devices operated. The radiation dose rate measurement is
conductedby using a Beta-Gamma Surveymeter detector and other supporting
devices. The measurement results are analyzed to find out the rate of radiation
dose in the other spaces, and for the sake of safety rules adapted to the radiation
dose boundary value.
The results showed that the radiation dose rate in space is still relatively
very safe to be accepted by everybody. The highest radiation dose rate at a
distance of 1 meter from the source of radiation (not including x-ray beam for
diagnosis) is (0,041 ±0,430) mrem/hour and the lowest at a distance of 3 meters is
(0.007± 0.001) mrem/hour. The highest dose rate in the other spaces is (12 ±

2).10-6 mrem/hour i.e. in the corridors toward the ICU and (26± 7).10-8 mrem/hour
in the waiting room. The radiation dose rate in the other spaces are smaller than
dose rate setting in Radiology Installation of dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Hospital
Sragen.The setting of dose rate is (0,011 ± 0,002) mrem/hour. Therefore, the
radiation exposure in the other spaces are safe to be accepted and has not needed
additional protection efforts to reduce radiation from the irradiation space. In
addition, it is possible to make the radiation dose rate contour map in Radiology
Installationof dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Hospital Sragen.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan laju dosis radiasi di Instalasi
Radiologi RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen, mengetahui batas-batas aman
radiasi dan membuat peta kontur laju dosis radiasi di Instalasi Radiologi RSUD
dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen.
Pengukuran laju dosis radiasi dilakukan di ruang penyinaran sebelum dan
selama pesawat sinar-x dioperasikan. Pengukuran laju dosis radiasi dilakukan
menggunakan detektor Beta-Gamma Surveymeter dan perangkat pendukung
lainnya. Hasil pengukuran tersebut dianalisis untuk mengetahui laju dosis radiasi
di ruang-ruang lainnya, dan untuk kepentingan keselamatan radiasi disesuaikan
dengan aturan nilai batas dosis (NBD) radiasi yang berlaku.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa laju dosis radiasi di ruang
penyinaran masih relatif aman untuk diterima oleh seseorang. Laju dosis radiasi
tertinggi pada jarak 1 meter dari sumber radiasi (kecuali berkas sinar-x untuk
diagnosa) sebesar (0,430 ± 0,041) mrem/jam dan terendah pada jarak 3 meter
sebesar (0,007 ± 0,001) mrem/jam. Laju dosis tertinggi di ruang selain ruang
penyinaran sebesar (12 ± 2).10-6 mrem/jam yaitu di ruang koridor menuju ICU
dan terendah sebesar (26 ± 7).10-8 mrem/jam di ruang tamu. Laju dosis radiasi di
ruang selain ruang penyinaran lebih kecil dari laju dosis latar di Instalasi
Radiologi RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen. Laju dosis latar tersebut sebesar
(0,011 ± 0,002) mrem/jam. Oleh karena itu, paparan radiasi di ruang-ruang selain

ruang penyinaran masih aman untuk diterima dan belum diperlukan upaya
proteksi radiasi tambahan untuk mengurangi radiasi dari ruang penyinaran. Selain
itu, dari data hasil penelitian dapat dibuat peta kontur laju dosis radiasi di Instalasi
Radiologi RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen.
