CHAPTER IV
CONCLUSION

This study discusses about Mulan’s struggle to get the equality that seen through her
external conflict. The story shows that men and women are difference which means the
society give a label to women as the other human. Women are different with men; they are
weak, useless, unworth. Women does not have a chance like men because the society force
them which they do not have a power to take control the society even themselves because the
society ruled by men, so men take control women’s life. Then, Mulan makes some changings
that women must liberate from those unequality treatment. Through her external conflicts,
Mulan overcome her problem in order to show the people that she is not weak as they think.
From Mulan’s struggle we can see that she wants to declare that women must have a chance
to be free; free to talk, free for being themselves and free to choose what they want to be. She
is also struggle to get a rights to speak in a public which is to express their ideas, opinions, or
feelings. She must have a chance for being herself not being someone else just to be accepted
by society. Furthermore, she is struggle to show that as a woman she is a worth creature, she
is courageous and has power to do what men do.
Throughout Mulan’s struggle to get the equality, by see on what Mulan do to still
survive in a society that women ruled by men, she is struggle that women must have the same
opportunity as men because they are created equal moreover women and men are endowed
by their creator with certain inalienable rights; that among these life, liberty, opportunity, the

persuit happiness. Literally, the writer can conclude that the main reason Mulan wants to tell
hardly to the people in a world that women and men are equal so they must to be treated
equal because women are human being too, it is not just because our gender are different so it

means that we should be treated differently. We are all a human being so why you saparate us
with our sex?.
Thus, Mulan do the struggle is to get an equal role in a family, society, and
citizenship. Through her struggle she shows that women must have the same opportunity for
doing what they want to do, have the same rights in every subject in society such rights to
speak, to making her own decision, and have the same respect of their existance as men.
Suceessfuly, Mulan proved that women can get the same position with men in society which
she is represent all the women in the entire universe that women are strong as men, smart as
men, and brave as men.
