CPUE (kg/setting)

Based on six purse seines operating in WPP-NRI 717, the highest catches per unit effort
(CPUE) was obtained on purse seine vessel no. 4 of 20.250 ton per-setting and the lowest
on purse seine vessel no.2 of 1977 kg per setting. The productivity of the vessel did not
show a positive correlation between the size of the vessel and the catch as this was
demonstrated by the 98 GT purse seine vessel obtaining a larger catch than the seawater
seine 138 GT
