Pemberian Biochar Dari Beberapa Bahan Baku Untuk Mengurangi Pencemaran Logam Berat Cd Di Tanah

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan jenis bahan baku biochar
yang terbaik dalam mengurangi pencemaran logam berat Cd di tanah. Penelitian
dilakukan di laboratorium menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) non
faktorial dengan perlakuan kontrol, 3 jenis biochar dari bahan baku yang berbeda
meliputi brangkasan jagung, jerami padi dan TKKS, sebanyak 5 ulangan.
Parameter yang diamati adalah pH H2O, pH KCl, Cd ekstrak DTPA. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga jenis biochar mampu meningkatkan pH
H2O, pH KCl tanah.Cd ekstrak DTPA menurun secara nyata akibat pemberian
biochar jerami padi dan TKKS, kecuali biochar brangkasan jagung. Kapasitas
serapan biochar terhadap logam berat Cd diurutkan dari yang terbesar hingga
terkecil adalah biochar TKKS, biochar jerami padi dan biochar brangkasan
jagung.

ABSTRACT
The aim of the research was to determine the type of biochar feedstock is
best in reducing the pollution of heavy metals Cd on the ground. The research
was conducted in laboratory using a complete randomized design (RAL) non
factorial with treatments : control, 3 types of biochar from different raw materials
including corn stover, rice straw and TKKS, 5 replications. Parameters measured
were pH H2O, pH KCl, Cd extracted with DTPA. The results showed that the
three types of biochar were able to increase the H2O pH and KCl pH. Cd
extracted with DTPA decreased significantly due to rice straw biochar and TKKS,
except corn stover biochar. Biochar uptake capacity of heavy metals Cd sorted
from the largest to the smallest is the biochar TKKS, rice straw biochar and
biochar corn stover.
