Forward Grade X Unit 6 Teacher ppt Agan Gupta Ilham
Unit 6
Have You Ever…?
After this chapter, students are
expected to be able to:
- Understand the usage of Present
Perfect tense,
- Talk about past activities and
experiences using correct tense/form.
- Is it important?
- Very.
Once you master the usage of Present
Perfect tense, you will be able share your past
or recent stories or experiences to other people.
The ability to do such things is essential for our
social skill. We may blend into new community,
gain new friends, be the center of attention, etc.
Remember
the
formula!
Present Perfect tense
(+) Subject + have/has + verb with past participle (V 3)
Example:
- Badrun has applied his CV to Penerbit Erlangga.
- I have drunk my Yakult twice today.
The Present Perfect tense shown in the previous slide is the
formula for the positive form of the tense. There are also
the negative and the interrogative version of it of course.
Here goes…
(-) Subject + have/has + not + past participle (V 3)
Example:
- Santi has not taken her bath this morning.
- I have not done my homework today.
(?) Have/has + subject + past participle (V 3)
Example:
- Have you changed the baby’s diaper?
There are some things you need to acknowledge first.
1. You have to know whether to use have or has in a
certain condition; those are two different function.
2. The usage of have or has is depend solely from the
subject.
Below is the diagram showing the difference.
