ABSTRACT
This paper is entitled The Description of Western and Eastern Kissing. Culture is a way of life that developed and owned jointly by a group of people and passed down from generation to generation. Kissing is a universal expression in the social life that represent, feelings of affection, love (sexual love, parental love, love child), and respect. While western it is one culture that develops due to the impact of globalization. In this task, explains how cultural differences kissing on the west and east. And various types of kissing as well as the benefits of kissing.
ABSTRAK
Kertas karya ini berjudul The Description of Western and Eastern Kissing.Budaya adalah suatu cara hidup yang berkembang dan dimiliki bersama oleh sebuah kelompok orang dan diwariskan dari generasi ke generasi. Ciuman adalah ekspresi universal dalam kehidupan sosial yang mewakili perasaan kasih sayang, cinta (cinta seksual, cinta orangtua, cinta anak), dan rasa hormat. Sementara budaya barat merupakan salah satu kebudayaan yang berkembang karena dampak dari globalisasi. Dalam tugas ini menjelaskan bagaimana perbedaan budaya berciuman dari barat dan timur. Dan berbagai macam jenis berciuman beserta manfaat berciuman.

Praise is to the prophet Muhammad SAW, the leader of messengers and guiding of faithful so that I could finish my study to fulfill one of requirements for the degree of Ahli Madya from the English Department, Faculty of Cultural Studies, University of Sumatera Utara, Medan.
Then, I would like to thank the Dean of Faculty of Cultural Studies, University of Sumatera Utara, Dr. H. Syahron Lubis, MA, and all the staffs for their help during the period of study in this faculty.
