of the interview was classified and described based on the categories in order to seek the meaning beyond these numbers in each item. The last step is to make the
triangulation among the students’ views which were gained through questionnaire and interview, and the theoretical views which shows the precise and same
relation heading to the particular conclusion.
F. Research Procedure
In conducting this research there were some steps of doing descriptive research which are given by Ary, Jacobs and Sorensen 2010. The steps are:
a. Selecting problem. The starting point in conducting this research was problem selection. What issue would be discussed and why it was interesting to
discuss. This part has been discussed in the first chapter. b. Reviewing literature on the problem. Particular theories related to research
variables were used as the base on this research. Therefore, reviewing some related literature on the problem was needed and essential to answer the
research problem formulation. c. Designing the research. In this step, the researcher decided what type of
research it was. This research used survey research. Besides, the researcher defined the population and the sample. The population used was CRW 1
students of ELESP Sanata Dharma University in academic year of 2011. It employed criterion sampling.

d. Collecting the data. Began with constructing the instruments, the instruments used were questionnaire in a form of close-ended and interview framework
addressed to several students. After the instruments were well prepared, the survey research was conducted.
e. Analyzing the data. In this step, the data gathered by distributing the questionnaire was processed as the raw data. The technique used has been
elaborated in the previous part. f. Interpreting the findings and stating conclusions. When the data had been
processed, the research interpreted the result and findings then drew conclusion. In this step, the researcher began to see the implications of the
result which answered the second problem formulation. g. Reporting the results. The last step of this research is presenting and reporting
the results of the survey research as the materials of thesis defense. Besides, it is used to give useful information for the ones who are working on the same
field. These are the steps in conducting the research in a logical order. It aims to
have a well-organized and structured research. The flow chart of the research procedures is presented at the following page.
