RINGKASAN
Analisis Trend Produksi Dan Faktor-faktor yang Mempengaruhi Produksi
Kedelai Edamame Serta Pola Kemitraan Petani Edamame Pada
PT.Mitratani Dua Tujuh di Kabupaten Jember; Rr. Sri Handayani;
071510201085; 2011; 102 halaman; Jurusan Sosial Ekonomi Pertanian Fakultas
Pertanian Universitas Jember.
Tanaman Kedelai Edamame (Glycinenmax(L).Merril) berasal dari negeri
Cina dengan nama “Mou Dou”. Produk kedelai Edamame belakangan ini
memiliki daya tarik dan pasar yang prospektif di Amerika maupun Jepang.
Peluang ekspor kedelai Edamame terutama ke negara Jepang dan Amerika masih
sangat terbuka,hal ini karena permintaan kedelai Edamame dari kedua negara
tersebut belum dapat dipenuhi. Kedelai Edamame merupakan tanaman jenis
kedelai yang berasal dari daerah sub tropik yang telah berhasil dikembangkan di
Indonesia. Pada tahun 1994, kedelai Edamame dikembangkan oleh PT. Mitratani
Dua Tujuh. Adanya peluang pasar yang sangat besar dalam upaya untuk
peningkatan produksi baik kualitas maupun kuantitas membuat PT.Mitratani Dua
Tujuh dapat bersaing dengan negara pengekspor lainnya terutama China dan
Taiwan yang

merupakan negara pengekspor kedelai Edamame. Pengelolaan

aspek budidaya yang baik pada tanaman kedelai Edamame akan menyebabkan
peningkatan produksi, sehingga dapat memenuhi permintaan pasar yang semakin
meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. PT.Mitratani Dua Tujuh dalam hal peningkatan
produksi perusahaan bermitra dengan petani kedelai Edamame.
Penelitian dilakukan pada PT.Mitratani Dua Tujuh di Kabupaten Jember
ditetapkan secara sengaja (purposive method) dengan pertimbangan bahwa
perusahaan tersebut merupakan satu-satunya perusahaan yang mengusahakan
komoditas kedelai Edamame di Kabupaten Jember sebagai komoditas ekspor.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, analitik dan
korelasional. Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan
metode Total Sampling dan Snowball Sampling. Data penelitian yang digunakan
adalah data primer dan data sekunder yang dianalisis dengan analisis Trend,
Fungsi Produksi Cobb-Douglass dan analisis secara deskriptif. Penelitian ini

bertujuan untuk mengetahui trend perkembangan produksi kedelai Edamame,
faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi kedelai Edamame, dan pola kemitraan
PT.Mitratani Dua Tujuh dengan petani kedelai Edamame.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Trend produksi kedelai Edamame pada
PT.Mitratani Dua Tujuh dari tahun 2006-2020 cenderung mengalami peningkatan
tiap tahunnya, (2) Faktor produksi yang berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap
produksi kedelai Edamame adalah faktor benih sedangkan faktor yang tidak
berpengaruh secara nyata diantaranya adalah: faktor luas lahan, pupuk, obatobatan dan tenaga kerja, (3) Tidak terdapatnya suatu pola kemitraan antara
PT.Mitratani Dua Tujuh dengan petani kedelai Edamame. Hubungan perusahaan
dengan petani kedelai Edamame hanya bentuk pola kegiatan usahatani dengan
melibatkan petani kunci untuk meningkatkan jumlah produksi kedelai Edamame
di PT.Mitratani Dua Tujuh Jember.
