ABSTRAK
Kamus elektronik adalah kamus yang berbasis komputer (mikroprosesor) yang bisa dibawa
kemana-mana karena ukurannya yang kecil (seperti PDA). Kebanyakan kamus elektronik
sekarang mempunyai kemampuan dalam menerjemahkan ke beberapa macam bahasa, namun
untuk penerjemahan secara akurat kebanyakan kamus elektronik hanya mempunyai kemampuan
menerjemahkan satu macam bahasa saja (seperti halnya kamus elektronik bahasa Indonesia ke
bahasa Inggris atau sebaliknya). Basis data dari kamus ini umumnya diambil dari sebuah terbitan
kamus tercetak yang terkenal, seperti kamus bahasa Inggris Oxford.
Kamus elektronik menyerupai miniatur sebuah laptop computer. Dimulai dari sistem
mikrokontroler AT89C55, EEPROM serial AT24C1024 Chip Recorder ISD 25120 dan ISD
4004 serta lengkap dengan Keyboard dan tampilan layar LCD.
Hal tersebut agar lebih portabel, kamus elektronik menggunakan tenaga baterai yang tahan lama.
Beberapa kamus elektronik mempunyai fitur suara untuk pengucapan ejaannya (spelling
pronunciation). Kamus elektronik kebanyakan dibuat di negara Jepang dan Korea.
ABSTRACT
Electronic dictionary is a dictionary-based computer (mikroprosesor) that can be carried
everywhere because where size is small (such as a PDA). Most electronic dictionaries now have
the ability to translate in some kind of language, but for the most accurate translation of the
electronic dictionary has only one kind of ability to translate the language course (such as
electronic dictionary language to English or vice versa). The database of the dictionary is
generally taken from a publication printed the famous dictionary, such as the Oxford English
dictionary.
Electronic dictionary resembles a miniature laptop computer. Starting from the system
mikrokontroler AT89C55, AT24C1024 serial EEPROM Chip Recorder ISD and ISD 25120 and
4004 with the full keyboard and LCD display screen.
It is to be more portable, electronic dictionary using the battery power last longer. Some of the
electronic dictionary has a feature for the voice recital ejaannya (spelling pronunciation).
Electronic dictionary is made mostly in Japan and Korea.
