ABSTRAK
Oxisol merupakan tanah yang memiliki kemampuan meretensi fosfat yang tinggi.
Selain itu Oxisol juga merupakan tanah yang telah mengalami pelapukan lanjut,
basa-basanya tercuci sehingga tanah menjadi masam dengan kadar Al, dan Fe
tinggi yang dapat meracuni tanaman, sedangkan kadar bahan organik dan P
rendah. Oxisol sering kekurangan unsur hara utama yang diperlukan oleh tanaman
seperti Nitrogen, Fosfat dan Kalium. Persoalan utama pada tanah ini adalah
kekahatan unsur hara P. Kekahatan P ini disebabkan oleh tingginya jerapan P
yang biasanya berkaitan erat dengan tingginya kandungan oksida-oksida besi dan
aluminium di dalam tanah. Oxisol cocok untuk tanaman jagung selama kemasaman
tanah (pH) sesuai pertumbuhannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
pengaruh penambahan asam-asam organik dengan batuan fosfat terhadap serapan
P tanaman jagung pada Oxisol dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan serapan P
tanaman jagung pada masing-masing deposit batuan fosfat dengan penambahan
asam-asam organik. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial
(2x2) dengan 3 kali ulangan, dengan faktor pertama adalah dosis batuan fosfat.
Sedangkan faktor kedua adalah asam organik, yaitu asam Oksalat dan asam Sitrat.
Perlakuan yang dilakukan adalah penambahan asam oksalat (A1) dan asam sitrat
(A2) sebesar 25 mM, batuan fosfat dosis 0 dan 300 kg/ha deposit Ciamis (C),
Cileungsi (L), Tuban (T) dan Pamekasan (P) pada Oxisol. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi penambahan asam-asam organik dengan perlakuan
dosis batuan fosfat berpengaruh terhadap nilai pH tanah, P-tersedia, serapan P dan
berat kering. Asam oksalat dan asam sitrat mempunyai kemampuan untuk
melepaskan P pada batuan fosfat dari berbagai deposit, namun interaksi asam
sitrat lebih baik dibandingkan asam oksalat pada dosis batuan fosfat 300 kg/ha
deposit Cileungsi, Tuban dan Pamekasan berdasarkan nilai serapan P dan berat
kering.
