ABSTRACT

The taxonomy of Calamus section Phyllanthectus in Sumatra was studied
based on morphological observation on 57 specimens deposited in the Herbarium
Bogoriense. The section consists of C. asperrimus, C. axillaris, C. caesius, C.
laevigalus, C. manan, C. oxleyanus var. oxleyanus, C. oxleyanus var. obovalus,

C. palel71banicus, C. tumidus, C. uni(arius var. uni(arius and C. uni(arius var.

siberulensis. The latter is proposed here for the first.

lembar) yang terdapat di Herbarium Bogoriense. Di Sumatera seksi ini terdiri atas

C. asperrimus, C. axillaris, C. caesius, C. laevigatus, C. manan, C. ox/eyanus var.

ox/eyanus, C. ox/eyanus var. obovatus, C. palembanicus, C. tumidus, C. uni(arius

var. 1I11i(arius dan C. unifarius var. siberutensis. Varietas yang disebutkan terakhir
diusulkan pertama sekali sebagai takson baru.

CURRICULUM VITAE

Idramsa is a son ofPandi bin H. Idris and Fatimah. He was born in Medan
on 20 September 1971.
In 1985 he was graduated from Elementary School, in 1988 from Junior
High School and in 1991 from Senior High School all in Labuhan Deli. In 1996
he was graduated from the Faculty of Education and Natural Science !KIP Medan
majoring in Biology.
in September, 1997 he registered as a student at the Graduate Program IPB
Bogor, studying Plant Taxonomy.
