This research discuss about Islam teacher perception about implementation of curriculum based
on competence at SMP Negeri 3 Batu.
Teacher perception here is importance because to know how far efficacy of student about
Implementation of curriculum based on competence which is running in the school. The problem
that discussed is perception study of Islamic education teacher to implementation of curriculum
based on competence in SMP Negeri 3 Batu. As a mean to know how perception study of
Islamic education teacher to implementation of curriculum based on competence in SMP Negeri
3 Batu
The research uses qualitative research, while as object research is SMP Negeri 3 Batu, and as a
subject is Islamic education teacher as instructor of Islamic education in SMP Negeri 3 Batu.
Data collecting uses observation technique, interview and documentation. Data analysis uses
descriptive qualitative. The result of this research indicate that Islamic education teacher have a
notion about implementation of curriculum based on competence in SMP Negeri 3 Batu that
have walked better but not yet optimal, because there are still some existing constraint such as;
not made yet available reference book that matching with syllabus, student analysis level which
still low, less active student, and the limited appropriate time of program with elementary
competence which planned. In making of lesson plan of Islamic education teacher make by them.
For study activity in SMP Negeri 3 Batu less walk well, and regarding the result of evaluation in
SMP Negeri 3 Batu was work well and appropriate with the one which expected.
In the end of thesis writing told some suggestions able to be made consideration for SMP Negeri
3 Batu so that more go forward and become example to other education institute.
