only control group design, dilakukan pengulangan sebanyak empat kali dan dosis ekstrak daun
Alpokat yang dicobakan adalah 5.000, 10.000, 20.000, 40.000, 80.000, 160.000 ppm dan
aquadest (kontrol).
Anopheles sp. act as the vector of diseases especially Malaria and Filariasis. Effort for
controlling Anopheles sp. population were difficult because of insectiside resistance. Sintetic
insectiside can cause enviromental damage and harmful to human health. For that reason,
alternative larvacide is needed. Some of the bioactive substance of Avocad leaves (Persea
gratissima Gaertn) suspected toxic to Anopheles larvaes were alkaloid, saponin, and flavonoida.
The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the larvasidal effect of avocad leaves extract
againts Anopheles sp. larvaes. Extraction of avocad leaves was done in Chemical Laboratory
University of
Muhammadiyah Malang on July 2009. The research was done in Insectiside Test Laboratory
Disease Reservoir Vector Research Centre Salatiga, Centre Java on July 2009. This experiment
was true experimentpost test only control group design and was repeated four times. The
dosages used were 5.000, 10.000, 20.000, 40.000, 80.000, 160.000 ppm and aquadest (control).
The tests were done by using plastic glasses with diameter 7 cm and observed at 1, 2, 4, 8, 16,
24, and > 24 hours respectively. Concentration of 160.000 ppm showed the most effective
insecticide potency up to 60% at the 24 hours. Probit analyzed showed the LD 50 and LD 90 for
each observed time. The conclusion was avocad leaves extract have high insecticide potency
against Anopheles sp. larvaes on each extract concentration. Further studies should be done to
examine the toxic dosage of avocad leaves extract for human.
