INTRODUCTION1.1 Background to the Topic

As a subject in 7 semester in English Department of Indonesia University of Computer, job training should be accomplished by the students by working on the company or creating the entrepreneurship business. Then, the writer decides to take the entrepreneurship business and makes a company which runs on English poster printing as the object. While doing this job training, the writer gets many experiences working in the Si Dupan Poster company. We make some variations about English Poster lessons. It is because poster is one of an alternative media which even can be used as the source for people to get more or new knowledge and very easy to put it anywhere. It’s stated by Gulo in his book “Pendidikan

buatan. Media belajar adalah segala sesuatu yang dapat membantu proses
pembelajaran tersebut. (Gulo, 2009: 64)The posters we make are Tenses poster, Question tag poster, Family trees poster, & Human body parts poster. Those posters itself will be very useful. Tense poster will tell us about how important the use of verb based on the time (past, present, future); question tag poster can be used to make an emphasis in a interesting; family trees poster tell us the name of part of our family (father, mother, uncle, etc.); and human body parts poster tell us about the name of parts of our body
Si Dupan Poster makes this product (poster) to be more interesting. As Forlee’s statement in Australian Residential Property Development, he said that:
The benefits of poster advertising are that it is full color and you have control over coverage and choice of location. Posters are generally good medium for awareness campaigns and you have a captive market when they are used on bus shelters, for example. (Forlee, 2005: 81)
Therefore, in order to make customer be more interest in using it, Si Dupan Poster designs the lessons in a good way and prints into colorful poster.
These methods are also based on the user’s request.
In running a company, it must be found advantages and disadvantages. The advantages and disadvantages in selling English Lesson poster will be analyzed by using SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, & Threat) analysis method. Based on the explanation, the writer decides to raise the topic

1.2 Scope
This paper describes about how the respond of users, especially for students, after using the English lesson poster as the media for learning English.
The data are taken from questioners, some interview and the data of company.
1.3 Objectives
The purposes of writing this topic and job training are mentioned sequentially:
1. To describe how the advantages and disadvantages of the selling English

1.4 Significant to Knowledge
The writer hopes that this paper will be useful for the reader to expand their knowledge about how to take the responds of users after using poster as media for learning English. In addition, this paper is expected to give a reference for students who also want to take entrepreneurship field so he / she can find another business which is more attractive.
1.5 The Framework of the Theory
In this job training report, the writer will analyze about how the users after using the poster as media learning. It will use SWOT analysis as Rangkuti said in his book:
SWOT adalah singkatan dari lingkungan internal Strengths dan Weakness serta lingkungan ekstrenal Opportunities dan Threats yang dihadapi dunia bisnis. Analisis Swot membandingkan antara faktor eksternal Peluang (Opportunity), dan Ancaman (Threat) dengan faktor internal Kekuatan (Strengths) dan Kelemahan (Weakness). (Rangkuti, 1997: 19)
Based on the Rangkuti’s statement, the writer will analyze the selling poster according to the data of company and the respond of users by using the SWOT analysis. The data from users itself are collected by using questioner and interview. Therefore, the writer uses simple and friendly questions to get information from users about what they’ve got after using poster as an alternative media in learning English.
1.6 Method
The method used in this paper is descriptive method. Ariola (2006: 47) states that
“the purpose of the descriptive method is to describe “what is”. It deals with the prevailing condition of objects, people, and events ”. Thus, in this
paper, the writer describes and explains the SWOT analysis of selling English poster based on user’s answer and the data of SI Dupan Poster Company.
1.7 Place and time
This job training was held in Si Dupan Poster at Jl. Tubagus Ismail Bawah

no. 40, Bandung, West Java. It was conducted on July 1 , 2011 to September 14 , 2011.
CHAPTER II THE BUSINESS OF SI DUPAN POSTER
2.1 The General Description of Si Dupan Poster
Si Dupan Poster, as the name of this company, is abbreviation of Sastra
Inggris Dua Ribu Delapan Poster which was established on July 2011 in
Bandung. It located at Jl. Tubagus Ismail Bawah no. 40, Bandung, West Java.The company produces the educational poster about English lesson for the beginner.
This company is established by six students of English Department of UNIKOM. The reason we run this poster business is based on the fact that there are many students still need a help in learning English. Students today usually use a common book as one of the tool for learning and it makes them feel lazy to learn. So, the company provides an interesting and simple poster with put some specific English lessons into it as an alternative media in learning English easily.
The production of the poster in this company was started with the survey and the promotion to the potential customer led by the manager of promotion division. Next, the manager of material-processing division processes the result of survey, and the manager of design division put it into a nice poster. The manager of production division then prints it at Tirta Anugrah Digital Printing, Jl. Tamansari No. 65c Bandung. Finally, the manager transportation division distributes posters to the customers.
2.2 Position and Coordination
2.2.1 Job Position
The position of the writer in Si Dupan Poster is a manager of transportation division of company. The writer also does some other jobs in this company such as helping in promoting and printing division.
2.2.2 Coordination
During the job training, as a manager of transportation division of the company, the writer works with the manager of production division to print the poster at Tirta Anugrah Digital Printing. Besides, the writer also promotes the poster with the manager of promotion division after printing the poster to the consumers.
2.3 Responsibilities
As a manager of transportation division, the writer has responsibilities to accompany the manager of printing division and also delivers the poster to the customer. Moreover, the writer also has to promote the product like the other managers of the company.
Although there are several responsibilities received in this job training, this paper is only focused on the research about the Selling of English Lesson poster for students.
CHAPTER III THE DESCRIPTION OF THE TOPIC In the world of study today, people, especially students are often getting
obstacles in study. The most common reason is the laziness in reading a book. It can be said that they feel lazy because one of the media they use is a common book which is only filled by text from beginning until the end. It will be very boring if they have to read that common book to find the knowledge they need.
Not only will take much time, the efficiencies of that method also can’t make the students easily understand about the lesson which they read instantly, perhaps. So, the writer and friends decide to make the English Lesson posters as the alternative media for learning English in an attractive way.
There are several kinds of posters promoted by the writer: human body part, tenses, family tree, and question tag. Therefore, with those posters, the students will memorize the lesson in easier way. It is because of the simple form of the poster that can be placed anywhere so the users can often find the poster.
This English Lesson poster business is not too different with other business done by other businessmen. In the other words, not only has advantages, this business also has disadvantages. The advantages and disadvantages will be analyzed using the method called as SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity &
Threat
). Rangkuti said in his book entitled “Analisis SWOT: Teknik Membedah

Based on the Rangkuti’s statement, this English Lesson poster business also has some obstacles whether in internal or even external sector. Thus, the writer will describe the SWOT of the selling of English Lesson poster for students.
1. Strength
Strength is the power owned by the product itself which has a value for the company itself or even for the consumers. In this English Lesson poster business, the Strength of the poster is from the appearances and the usage. The color and design for creating poster can also be determined according to consumer’s taste whose order personally. So, the final form of the poster can also be able to give the strength for this company. It can be seen on this one of consumer’s statement about the Tense Poster of Si Dupan Poster Company. The datum below is taken from the questioner made by the writer:
Menurut saya posternya sangat menarik. Membantu saya untuk belajar memahami tenses.
The datum above is obtained from a student who bought the poster with Tense as the lesson. The students today are also often getting problems when they use the tenses in English conversation. However, now the user or students can learn the tenses easier. It can be seen from the datum from a consumer below:

dicantumkan semuanya dan tidak harus repot membuka buku.The datum also show the Strength of the poster where the user said that the poster is interesting and really helps he r to study. Thereby, it’s clear that the Strength of the poster is on the interesting appearance and the simple lessons on it and also very useful for the students to learn.
2. Weakness
The Weakness is a commonly thing which usually appears in a business.
Sometimes, the weakness also can ruin a company if we don’t know how to handle it. The weaknesses in this business are about the cost and distribution. Therefore, we need to find the way to get back the capital and avoid of losing the profit (bankrupt).
According to data which is found in “Laporan Perkembangan Usaha
SI DUPAN Poster ” of company, the fund used in this business is Rp.
100.000/each person. So, we get Rp. 600.000 as a total of the capital. With the capital, we must find the best print shop that can offer the cheapest cost, either the cost of the papers or the cost of printing because the company also needs money to run other works as mentioned below:

With the operating expenses, the company must decide an appropriate cost for each poster. It must be done to get back the capital of business that used and to get the profit also. Thereby, we have a deal that each poster will be sold Rp. 10.000.
Compared with the other posters sold outside, poster produced by Si Dupan Poster Company is more expensive. It becomes the weakness in selling the posters. However, because the users can decide the color, design, or even the lessons they need, it makes the price of the poster is equitable.
Besides, this company also has a weakness in distribution process. Breaking the agreement to have a meeting done by the consumer is one of sometimes we need to make an agreement again so we can hand over the posters to them.
3. Opportunity
This English Lesson poster business also has a well enough opportunities in business world. Today, English is one of important subject of students in the school. English is also already being the one of international language often used by all people in daily conversation.

dan enggak ngebosenin.From the datum above, it seems that the Question tag poster can help the student, especially in having conversation.
It’s because the question tag itself not only can be used to make an emphasis in a sentence while it also can make the sentence / conversation become more interesting.
From the selling of the English Lesson poster, the company also earns a good enough pr ofit. It’s showed in the “Laporan Perkembangan Usaha

” of company that we are not only getting back the capital of business, but also gaining a profit as much as Rp.76.000. Therefore, the writer believes that this English Lesson poster business has a quite convincingly successful opportunity, especially, if this poster is distributed to the students who are still beginner in learning English like in elementary school. Thereby, those beginners can follow the English development without having to wait the next class until they can get the English lesson as their subject.
4. Threat
The Threat of this business company is a possibility of other company which will appear and has the same business. So, the writer needs to go to public market to find and compare the differences of public English Lesson poster with ours. It will be worst if the competitor sells the same poster with the cheaper price than ours. In order to face that condition, we need to update the design poster to keep the interest of users.
CHAPTER IV CONCLUSIONS AND SUGGESTIONS
4.1 Conclusion
Si Dupan Poster Company is an entrepreneurship business which runs in selling English Lesson poster. This poster is an alternative media that can give an opportunity to learn though only several lessons of English are on it. Moreover, it’s easier to be used and also cheaper than a book. Thereby, the writer uses SWOT method to analyze the advantages and disadvantages on the selling English Lesson poster for students especially.
The writer found that the English lesson poster can really help the students in learning English from the answers in the questioners and interview. Even there are several problems in the selling of poster, the company found the solutions to handle the problems.
The selling English Lesson poster is also a good business because the company not only can get back the capital but also gain a profit. However, the company must update the design of the posters so it can keep the interest of consumers.
4.2 Suggestions
There are some suggestions for both the English Department and the students as follows:
1. The English Department must give the entrepreneurship subject to the students before they do job training because it will encourage more students to take job training in the entrepreneurship field.
2. The students who take entrepreneurship as their job training must prepare and manage their company well in order to get a valuable experience in running the company.
3. The students also have to think more creative and make interesting stuffs which have never been made by other companies to increase the customers from certain target market, as example like for students only.
