Heat Exchanger merupakan peralatan penting di bidang industri termasuk industri minyak dan
gas bumi. Akhir-akhir ini, di lapangan West Seno Chevron Indonesia Company ditemukan
masalah penurunan performa perpindahan panas dari Gasketed and Plate Heat Exchanger. Hal
ini membuat pendinginan di Printed Circuit Heat Exchanger sebagai alat pendingin aliran gas
enjadi kurang efisien. Usaha peningkatan peningkatan performa Gasketed and Plate Heat
Exchanger melalui pembesihan secara kimia tidak memperoleh hasil yang memuaskan,
sedangkan pembersihan secara mekanik tidak dimungkinkan. Didasari oleh kejadian di atas,
direncanakan Heat Exchanger yang dapat menggantikan Gasketed and Plate Heat Exchanger
yang instalasinya tidak menghentikan operasi. vi
Heat Exchanger is important equipment in industry including oil and gas industry. Lately, at
West Seno field Chevron Indonesia Company found degradation of Gasketed and Plate Heat
Exchanger’s thermal performance. This caused cooling at Printed Circuit Heat Exchanger as gas
stream cooling in efficient. The efforts to improve Gasketed and Plate Heat Exchanger’s thermal

performance through chemical cleaning did not satisfy, where as mechanical cleaning was not
applicable. Based on the condition, Heat Exchanger are designed to replace Gasketed and Plate
Heat Exchanger which installation will not stop operation
