as a former British colony, most
people in Malawi can speak English.
Rahman later said, “I found
Malawi to be a very poor country.
Much poorer than Indonesia. But the

population spoke excellent English.
Actually English is the country’s
official language. All school lessons
are taught in English and it is also the
language of the government.
After his stay in Africa, Rahman
spent some time in England at his
company’s Head Office. Then he went
to the company’s office in India for a
brief stay. ‘You know my English
lesson proves to be useful.,’ he said.
‘Because whenever I travel in the
world I feel confident. I know that I
will never have any problems
communicating with people. English
is spoken everywhere.

away at once! Didn’t you tell the
hawk that you’d already promised to
marry me?” shouted the rooster. The
hen was so frightened at the rooster
anger that she threw the ring away
immediately.
When the hawk came the next day, the
hen told him the truth. The hawk was
so furious that he cursed the hen.
“Why didn’t you tell me earlier? Now,
You’ll always be scratching the earth,
and I’ll always be flying above you to
catch your children,” said the hawk.
The curse seems to have come true.

Making Ice Cream without

Johnny Ramone Died
LOS ANGELES. Jhonny Ramone, a
guitarist and cofounder of the seminal
punk band ‘The Ramones’ died. He
was 55. Ramone died in his sleep on
Wednesday afternoon at his Los
Angeles home surrounded by friends
and family. He had battle against
prostate cancer for five years and was
hospitalized in June at Cedars-Sinai
Medical Center. Ramone,born Jhonny
Cuming, was one of the original
members of ‘The Ramones’, whose
hit songs I Wanna Be Sedated and
Blitzkrieg Bop,among others, reached
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in
2002. Jhonny Ramone founded ‘The
