Seleksi dan Akuisisi Bahan Pustaka di Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah
Provinsi Jawa Barat. Dengan dosen pembimbing Rully Khairul Anwar,
S.Ag.,M.Si. Program Studi Hubungan Masyarakat Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi
Universitas Padjadjaran. Tujuan penulisan ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana
prosedur seleksi dan akuisisi, proses kegiatan seleksi dan akuisisi sampai dengan
anggaran seleksi dan akuisisi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan Tugas
Akhir (TA) ini adalah menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan teknik
pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dengan pustakawan dan staf
perpustakaan di Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Provinsi Jawa barat,
serta studi kepustakaan. Proses kegiatan seleksi dan akuisisi mencangkup
beberapa tahap yang mengacu kepada prosedur seleksi dan akuisisi yang telah
ditentukan, dimulai dari pelaksanaan seleksi bahan pustaka, sampai dengan
inventarisasi bahan pustaka, dengan tujuan utama memberikan koleksi bahan
pustaka terbaru yang bermutu untuk menunjang kebutuhan pemustaka.

Public Relations Faculty of Communication Padjadjaran University. The purpose
of writing this final report is to find out how the selection and acquisition
procedure, process selection and acquisition activities through the selection and
acquisition budget. The method used in this final report is the descriptive method.
With data collection techniques such as observation, interviews with librarians
and library staff in library and archive agency of west java province, and the
study of literature. The process of selection and acquisition activity covers several
stages, which refers to the selection and acquisitions procedure that have been
determined, beginning of the implementation of the selection of library materials,
until the inventory of library materials, with the main objective to provide the
latest collection of library materials quality to support the needs of the visitors.
