Based on KTSP curriculum of Junior High School, the students are expected to have speaking skill in order to achieve the language competence and be able to use the language itself. Speaking skill is important for students in developing the communicative competence to face the globalization. However, the students still have difficulty in learning English speaking. It can be looked from the passive students in the English class. Then many students are reluctant to speak in English. They also are difficult to use appropriate grammar and pronunciation. Through this research, the researcher applies mingle game as one of technique in teaching English speaking. Mingle game is interactive speaking activity to practice the target language. Mingle game organize the students to have interaction each other with doing movement to ask their friend and get answer. By doing mingle game, the students will be trained to build the high confidence and to practice the target language with good grammar and pronunciation.
The objective of this research is to test whether the speaking ability of the seventh grade students of MTs Negeri 1 PrambatanKidul Kudus in academic year 2013/2014 before being taught by using mingle game is less than after being taught by using mingle game.
The researcher hold an experimental research with pre-test and post-test to an experimental group. The subject of this research is the seventh grade of MTs Negeri 1Prambatan Kidul Kudus in academic year 2013/2014. The population was limited into sample group by doing classroom random sampling. Then the researcher decided the seventh class B as the sample of this research. The hypothesis states that there is significance different between the speaking ability of the seventh grade students of MTs Negeri 1 PrambatanKidul Kudus in academic year 2013/2014 before and after being taught by using mingle game.
The result of this research show if the speaking ability of the seventh grade students of MTs Negeri 1 PrambatanKidul Kudus in academic year 2013/2014 before being taught by using mingle game is less than after being taught by using mingle game. The mean score of pre-test is 54.96. It is categorized sufficient.The mean score of post-test is 63.80. It is categorized sufficient.

But, there is improvement of both mean score. To test the hypothesis, the researcher used the five steps model hypothesis testing. The calculation used sampling distribution= t distribution, α = 0.05 one-tailed test, degree of freedom = 30, and t (critical) = -1.697. The researcher got t (obtained) = -11.76. the test statistic falls into critical region. The null hypothesis has been rejected and the alternative hypothesis has been accepted.
The conclusion of this research shows that the speaking ability of the seventh grade students of MTs Negeri 1 PrambatanKidul Kudus in academic year 2013/2014 before being taught by using mingle game is less than after being taught by using mingle game. So, the researcher suggests to the English teacher of Junior High School to use Mingle Game as one of technique in teaching speaking in order to enable the learners have English conversation easily.

Kemampuan berbahasa inggris sangat penting bagi siswa-siswa untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berkomunikasi untuk menghadapi globalisasi. Akan tetapi, pada nyatanya masih banyak siswa yang kesulitan dalam mempelajari bahasa inggris oral .Hal itu dapat dilihat dari pasifnya murid murid saat di dalam kelas. Banyak siswa yang enggan untuk berbicara dengan bahasa inggris. Mereka juga mengalami kesulitan untuk menggunakan tata bahasa dan pengucapan kata yang benar. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti menerapkan migle game sebagai salah satu teknik dalam mengajar bahasa inggris oral. Mingle game adalah kegiatan berbicara bahasa inggris yang interaktif untuk berlatih bahasa target. Mingle game mengatur siswa-siswa untuk melakukan interaksi satu sama lain dengan melakukan pencarian pasangan untuk saling bartanya dan menjawab. Dengan melakukan mingle game, siswa-siswa akan terlatih untuk mengembangkan percaya diri mereka dan melatih bahasa target dengan tata bahasa dan pengucapan kata yang benar.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan bahwa kemampuan berbicara bahasa inggris siswa kelas 7 MTs Negeri 1 Prambatan Kidul Kudus di tahun academik 2013/2014 sebelum diajar dengan menggunakan mingle game lebih kecil dari pada sesudah diajar dengan mingle game.
Peneliti melaksanakan penelitian dengan memberikan pre-test dan post- test pada satu kelompok. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswa kelas 7 MTs Negeri 1 Prambatan Kidul Kudus. Populasi dibatasi menjadi kelompok sampel dengan melakukan pengambilan sample yang mengacak kelas-kelas di kelas 7. Kemudian peneliti mendapatkan kelas 7 B sebagai sampel dalam penelitian ini. Hipotesis penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan berbicara bahasa inggris siswa kelas 7 MTs Negeri 1 Pramabatan Kidul Kudus di tahun academik 2013/2014 sebelum dan sesudah diajar dengan menggunakan mingle game.
Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berbicara bahasa inggris siswa kelas 7 MTs Negeri 1 Prambatan Kidul Kudus di tahun academik 2013/2014 sebelum diajar dengan menggunakan mingle game lebih kecil dari pada sesudah diajar dengan mingle game. Nilai rata-rata dari pre-test adalah
54.96. Nilai itu dikatagorikan “cukup”. Nilai rata-rata dari pos-test adalah 63,80. Nilai itu dikategorikan “cukup”. Tetapi, ada perbedaan peningkatan hasil dari nilai rata-rata dari kedua test tersebut. Untuk menguji hipotesis, peneliti menggunakan lima langkah uji hipotesis. Perhitungan data menggunakan sample distribusi = t distribusi, α = -1.697 tes satu sisi, derajat kebebasan = 30, dan t (kritis) = -11.76. Tes statistic jatuh ke daerah kritis. Hipotesis nol berhasil ditolak dan hipotesis alternative diterima.
Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa kemampuan berbicara bahasa inggris siswa kelas 7 MTs Negeri 1 Prambatan Kidul Kudus di tahun academik 2013/2014 sebelum diajar dengan menggunakan mingle game lebih kecil dari pada sesudah diajar dengan mingle game. Jadi, peneliti menyarankan kepada guru bahasa Inggris di Sekolah Menengah Pertama untuk menggunakan Mingle Game sebagai salah satu teknik mengajar berbicara bahasa Inggris dengan tujuan membuat siswa lebih mudah ketika melakukan percakapan dalam bahasa Inggris.
