Dilandasiolehpustakawandalammelaksanakantugasprofesional,
merekaharusmemperhatikandanmenerapkansikapdannormaperilaku
yang
sesuaidengankodeetikpustakawan.
Penelitianinimenggunakanmetodedeskriptifkorelasionaldenganpendekatankuantita
tif. Teknikpengumpulan data menggunakaninstrumenpenelitianberupaangket.
Teknikpengambilansampel yang digunakanadalahsampling jenuhdengansampel

digunakansebanyak

ABSTRACT
Ajeng Fatwa Fadlilah (1200806), The Correlation between the Understanding of
the Code of Ethics and the Librarians Performance Behaviour (Correlational
Descriptive Study on Library at University in Bandung). A Paper, Library and
Information Study Program, Department of Curriculum and Educational
Technology, Indonesia University of Education 2016.
This study aims at examining the correlations between the understanding of the
code of ethics of librarians and the librarians performance behaviour in one library
at Indonesia University of Education and Bandung Technological Institute. Ruled
by a librarian in performing professional duties, they must observe and perform
the attitudes and behavioral norms in accordance with the code of ethics of
librarians. This research employed a correlational descriptive method with

quantitative approach. The technique of data collection used research instrument
in the form of questionnaire. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling
in which the number of samples was 25 people. The results show that the
understanding of the code of ethics of librarians has a strong relationship to the
librarians performance behavior. The test results regarding the understanding of
the code of ethics of librarians on the librarians performance behavior showed that
basic attitude sub-variable of librarians have an adequate correlation, sub variable
relationship librarians with users has a strong correlation, sub variable relationship
between librarians have a strong correlation, and sub-variables of personal
appearance has a strong correlation. It can be concluded that there is a positive
and significant relationship with strong category between the understanding of the
code of ethics of librarians on the librarians performance behaviourofat the library
of Indonesia University of Education and Bandung Technological Institute.
