PENGARUH UKURAN PERUSAHAAN DAN PROFITABILITAS
TERHADAP STRUTUR MODAL PADA PERUSAHAAN
MANUFAKTUR YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh ukuran
perusahaan dan profitabilitas terhadap struktur modal pada perusahaan
manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Populasi dalam penelitian ini
adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia, dengan
jumlah sampel sebanyak 79 (tujuh puluh sembilan) perusahaan. Pengumpulan
data sekunder dilakukan dengan mendokumentasikan data keuangan perusahaan
yang dipublikasikan oleh Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX). Pengujian hipotesis
dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier berganda dengan
nilai signifikansi α = 5% (0,05). Secara simultan ukuran perusahaan dan
profitabilitas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal. Secara parsial
profitabilitas berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap struktur modal, ukuran
perusahaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap struktur modal. Nilai
Adjusted R Square adalah sebesar 0.144 yang berarti variabilitas variabel
dependen yang dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel independen yaitu ukuran perusahaan
dan profitabilitas adalah sebesar 14,4%, sisanya sebesar 85,6% dijelaskan
variabel-variabel lain diluar model.

ABSTRACT
THE EFFECT OF COMPANY SIZE AND PROFITABILITY ON CAPITAL
STRUCTURE AT MANUFACTURING COMPANY LISTED
STOCK ON INDONESIA EXCHANGE

The purpose of this research is to identify the influence of company size
and on profitability on capital structure at manufacturing company on Indonesia
Stock Exchange. The type of this research is associative research. Population of
this research are manufacturing company listed on Indonesia stock exchange and
the number of samples are 79 (seventy nine) manufacturing company determined
by using targeted sampling method. Process of collecting the secondary data is by
documenting firm’s financial report which was published by Indonesia stock
Exchange (IDX). The hypothesis of this research analyzed by using Multiple
Linier Regression method with signification level of α = 5% (0,05).
Simultaneously, the influence of company size and profitability are significant

towards capital structure. Partially, profitability have negatively and significant
towards capital structure, company size have positively and significant influence
toward capital structure. Based on value of Adjusted R Square which is 0.144, it
show the variability of dependent variables that can described by independent
variable that are company size and capital structure about 14,4% while 85,6%
were described by other variables that excluded of his research.
