APPLICATION GUIDELINES:
How to participate in the SEAMEO 50x3 Schools’ Network
1) All public and private primary, secondary and vocational Schools’ in 11 Southeast Asian countries,

namely: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines,
Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam are invited to submit an “Application Form” to
participate in the “SEAMEO 50x3 Schools’ Network”.
2) The deadline for application submissions is Monday 17 August 2015.
SEAMEO Secretariat receives your application form by 17 August 2015.

3) There is no application or registration fee for this programme.
4) Information about the school in the Application Form must be written in English. The supporting
documents can be in local languages, however a brief translation in English should be provided.
5) Schools can submit the "Application Form" and other supporting documents

b) Send a Compact Disc (CD) or handy drive containing the digital files of the application form
and supporting documents to the following address by post. (Please protect the CD from damage
by wrapping it in bubble wrap. The printed version of the completed application form should be included
in the mailing package.)

6) All applications submitted to the SEAMEO Secretariat will be acknowledged. If schools have not
received any acknowledgement of the receipt from the SEAMEO Secretariat within one week after the
submission date, please contact the SEAMEO Secretariat, email: schoolnetwork@seameo.org

SELECTION CRITERIA
The assessment and evaluation of application forms will be conducted by the selection committee which
consists of experts and representatives from SEAMEO Regional Centres.
For the year 2015, only 50 primary schools, 50 secondary schools and 50 vocational and technical schools will
be selected.
The selection criteria are as follows:
 Primary , secondary, and vocational and technical school, located in 11 Southeast Asian countries,
namely: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines,
Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam
 English ability of teachers to participate in SEAMEO training programmes
 Basic capacity of ICT and Internet access at the school
 Strong interest and willingness indicators:
o The school leader has clearly expressed an interest to participate in this SEAMEO network.
o The school leader has provided clear relevant expectations for joining in this network.
 Clear policy and operational plan on partnerships with other schools in different communities or
countries
 Strong community participation and linkages – the school has clearly demonstrated community-based
activities.
