Pendugaan Stok Karbon di Atas Permukaan Tanah di Arboretum Universitas Sumatera Utara
ABSTRAK
HOT PARASIAN PARHUSIP: Pendugaan Stok Karbon Tegakan Pohon di
Arboretum Universitas Sumatera Utara. Dibimbing oleh SITI LATIFAH dan
YUNUS AFIFUDDIN.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk analisis pendugaan stok karbon dalam
Arboretum Universitas Sumatera Utara sehingga hasil analisisnya bisa digunakan
sebagai acuan untuk pengembangan dan pengelolaan Arboretum USU di waktu yang
akan datang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Arboretum Universitas Sumatera Utara,
Kuala Bekala, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sensus.
Parameter yang diamati adalah diameter pohon untuk mendapatkan nilai biomassa
dan stok karbon serta serta titik koordinat setiap pohon.
Hasil dari penelitian ini, dari luas Arboretum USU seluas 64, 813 Ha,
diperoleh jumlah biomassa total adalah 0,08 ton/ha, sedangkan jumlah stok karbon
total adalah sekitar 0,04 ton/ ha. Biomassa dan stok karbon terbesar adalah dari jenis
pohon Mindi (Melia azedarach) yaitu sekitar 0,0277 ton/ha dan
0,0127 ton/ha,
dimana jumlah total dari pohon Mindi (Melia azedarach) adalah 284 pohon.
Sedangkan jumlah biomassa dan stok karbon paling kecil adalah dari jenis pohon
Manglid yaitu sekitar 0,00001 ton/ha dan 0,000005 ton/ha.

This study aims to analysis of carbon stock assessment in the North Sumatra
University Arboretum and the results of the analysis can be used as a reference for
the development and management of USU Arboretum in the future. This research was
conducted at the Arboretum University of North Sumatra, Kwala Bekala, Deli Serdang
regency. This study uses census. Parameters measured were diameter of the tree to get the
value of biomass and carbon stocks as well as well as the coordinates of each tree.
The resultsof this study, from a broad USU Arboretum area of 64, 813 hectares, the
total amount of biomass obtained was 0.08 tons/ha. While the total amount of carbon stocks
is approximately 0.04 tons/ha. Biomass and carbon stocks of the largest tree species Mindi
(Melia azedarach) is about 230.78 tons/ha and 106.16t /ha, in which the total number of
trees Mindi (Melia azedarach) is 284 trees. While the amount of biomass and carbon stocks
contained at least is a tree species Manglid which is about 0.00001tons/ha and
0.000005tons/ha.
