  Vocabulary Mastery adalah salah satu komponen bahasa yang harus di kuasai oleh siswa dari sekolah dasar hingga universitas. Berdasarkan kurikulum pendekatan sekolah dasar adalah agar siswa dapat berkomunikasi, membaca buku teks berbahasa Inggris, dan dapat memahami makna teks. Untuk mengajarkan Kosakata akan lebih efektif bila menggunakan metode, media dan strategi. Menggunakan strategi List-Group-Label dalam mengajar Kosakata, diharapkan bisa mendorong minat siswa dalam penguasaan kosakata.

  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan dari strategi List- Group-Label untuk mengajar kosa kata siswa kelas lima SD N 1 Singocandi Kudus tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan desain penelitian eksperimen tanpa kelompok control. Penulis menentukan kelas lima SD N 1 Singocandi Kudus tahun ajaran 2017/2018 sebagai populasi dan memilih kelas lima sebagi sample.

  Data hasil penelitian tes ini diambil dari hasil tes pilihan ganda. Pada pre- test rata-ratanya adalah 59.3 dan nilai standar deviasinya adalah 11.3. Sedangkan pada post-test rata-ratanya adalah 71 dan nilai standar deviasinya 6.80. Untuk uji hipotesanya di peroleh 10.05, sedangkan t critical nya adalah 2.145. Berdasarkan dari hasil tersebut, dapat disimpilkan hahwa List-Group-Label adalah sebuah strategi yang efektif untuk mengajar Kosakata kelas lima SD N 1 Singocandi Kudus pada tahun ajaran 2017/2018.

  Maka dari itu, peneliti memiliki saran bahwa guru akan menjadi lebih baik jika menggunakan List-Group-Label dalam mengajar kosatata. Jadi siswa bisa menghafal kata dengan mudah. Selain itu, kegiatan tidak hanya membuat mereka lebih antusias untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan mereka dalam proses belajar mengajar.

  Vocabulary Mastery is one of the language components that should be mastered by students from the elementary school up to university. Based on competency curriculum the approach of elementary school is to enable the students to communicate, to read English textbook, and understand the meaning of text. Teaching vocabulary will be effective when using method, media and strategy. Using List-Group-Label strategy in teaching vocabulary, it was expected to encourage the st udents‟ interest in vocabulary mastery.

  In this present research, researcher aimed to know the effectiveness of List-Group-Label strategy to teaching vocabulary for the fifth grade students of SD N 1 Singocandi Kudus in academic year 2017/2018. In this research, the researcher used experimental research design without control group. The researcher determined the fifth grade students of SD N 1 Singocandi Kudus in academic year 2017/2018. As the population and took grade five as the sample.

  The data of this research was taken from the result of multiple choice tests. In pre-test, the mean was 59.3 and SD was 11.3. While, the post-test mean was 71.5 and SD were 6.80. For the hypothesis testing got t = 10.05, while, t-critical was 2.145. Based on the result, it could be said that List-Group-Label was an effective strategy to teach vocabulary to the fifth grade students of SD N 1 Singocandi Kudus in academic year 2017/2018.

  Therefore, the researcher suggestsin order that the teacher to use List- Group-Label in teaching vocabulary so the students could memorize words easily. In addition, there activities not only made them more enthusiastic but also increased their involvement in teaching and learning process.
