72 of liver transplants were living donor transplants while 28 were from cadaveric donors. 60 of living donors were first degree relatives with mother to child being the most common. 4.4 TRANSPLANT OUTCOME

The 1 year survival rate for the period 1993 - 1998 and 1999 – 2009 was 71 and 65 respectively. The most common cause of death was sepsis.
