ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui profil motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran
larutan penyangga menggunakan model problem solving. Penelitian ini menggunakan
metode deskriptif, dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas XI sebanyak 24 orang, di salah satu
SMAN di Kota Bogor. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi dengan 8
indikator motivasi yang terdiri dari 51 deskriptor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan profil
motivasi belajar siswa pada setiap indikator motivasi untuk kelompok tinggi, sedang dan
rendah berturut-turut adalah sebagai berikut : (1) durasi kegiatan 86,1 ; 75,6 ; 69,1 (2)
frekuensi kegiatan 80 ; 71,7 ; 77,8 (3) persistensi pada tujuan kegiatan 91,6 ; 81,09 ; 80,5
(4) ketabahan, keuletan dan kemampuannya dalam menghadapi rintangan dan kesulitan79,2
; 72,5 ; 74,8 (5) devosi dan pengorbanan 83,3 ; 69,6 ; 69,4 (6) tingkatan aspirasi yang
hendak dicapai87,5 ; 75,1 ; 70,4 (7) tingkatan kualifikasi prestasi atau produk yang dicapai
84,5 ; 74,7 ; 74,6 (8) arah sikap terhadap sasaran kegiatan 90,6 ; 86,7 ; 86,1 . Profil motivasi
siswa untuk setiap tahapan Problem Solving adalah sebagai berikut : (1) tahap motivasi
dengan rata-rata pencapaian 77,4% tergolong kategori baik, (2) tahap penjabaran masalah
dengan rata-rata pencapaian 79,2% tergolong kategori baik, (3) tahap penyusunan opini
dengan rata-rata pencapaian75,9% tergolong kategori baik, (4) tahap perencanaan dan
konstruksi rata-rata pencapaian 74% tergolong kategori baik, (5) tahap percobaan dengan
rata-rata pencapaian 79,2% tergolong kategori baik, (6) tahap kesimpulan dengan rata-rata
pencapaian 79,7% tergolong kategori baik, (7) tahap abstraksi dengan rata-rata pencapaian
81,4% tergolong kategori sangat baik, (8) tahap re-evaluasi dengan pencapaian rata-rata
81,3% tergolong kategori sangat baik, (9) tahap konsolidasi pengetahuan dengan rata-rata
pencapaian 81,7% tergolong kategori sangat baik.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to determine the profiles of students' motivation in for
the buffer solution topic using a problem solving model. Descriptive method was used
in this research, the subjects for this research are 24 student of 2nd grade class, in
one of high school in Bogor. The instrument used in the form of observation sheet with
8 motivation indicators consists of 51 descriptors. The results showed students'
motivation profiles for each indicator motivation in a group of high, medium and low
respectively are as follows: (1) the duration of activities 86,1 ; 75,6 ; 69,1 (2) frequency
of activities 80 ; 71,7 ; 77,8 (3) persistence of the activity purpose 91,6 ; 81,09 ; 80,5
(4) grit, tenacity and ability for facing anobstacles and difficulty 79,2; 72,5; 74,8 (5)
devotion and sacrifice 83,3 ; 69,6 ; 69,4 (6) aspiration level to be achieved 87,5 ; 75,1 ;
70,4 (7) qualification achievements level 84,5 ; 74,7 ; 74,6 (8) the attitude towards the
target activity 90,6 ; 86,7 ; 86,1. Motivations profile of students for each stage of
problem solvingare follows: (1) the stage of motivation with an average achievement of
77,4% classified as good cathagory, (2) the stage of elaboration problem with an
average achievement of 79,2 classified as good cathagory, (3) the stage of opinion
preparation with an average achievement 75,9% classified as good cathagory, (4)
planning and construction stage withan average achievement of 74% classified as good
cathagory, (5) the experimental stage with an average achievement of 79,2% classified
as good cathagory, (6) the conclusion stage with an average achievement of 79,7%
classified as good cathagory, (7) the abstraction stage with an average achievement of
81,4% classified as excellent category, (8) there-evaluation stage with an averagen
achievement of 81,3% classified
