Pengaruh Kemiringan Lereng Dan Kedalaman Terhadap Konsentrasi Kadar Nikel Pada Batuan Serpentinit (Ultramafik) Di Pulau Obi Kabupaten Halmahera Selatan Provinsi Maluku Utara.
ABSTRAK
Fenomena karakteristik konsentrasi kadar nikel yang terdapat di Pulau Obi
Kabupaten Halmahera Selatan merupakan obyek yang layak dan menarik untuk
diteliti. Karakteristik dan konsentrasi endapan nikel lateritik yang terbentuk akibat
pelindian batuan induk (ultramafik) mempunyai penyebaran yang tidak teratur, baik
ketebalan maupun kadarnya.
Sejauhmana pengaruh kemiringan lereng dan kedalaman terhadap karakteristik
konsentrasi kadar nikel merupakan permasalahan didalam penelitian ini. Ruang
lingkup penelitian mencakup karakteristik dan konsentrasi kadar nikel pada batuan
serpentin yang berasal dari batuan induk (ultramafik), sejauhmana pengaruh
kemiringan lereng (morfologi) dan kedalaman terhadap karakteristik konsentrasi
kadar nikel di daerah penelitian.
Hasil penelitian pada batuan serpentin mengenai peranan kemiringan lereng
(morfologi) dan Kedalaman berpengaruh terhadap konsentrasi kadar nikel di daerah
penelitian menggunakan pendekatan verifikasi deduksi hipotetik dengan uji statistik.
Hasil uji statistik untuk kemiringan lereng (morfologi) berpengaruh terhadap
konsentrasi kadar nikel dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara
kemiringan lereng dengan konsentrasi kadar nikel di lokasi penelitian.
Hasil uji statistik untuk kedalaman berpengaruh terhadap konsentrasi kadar
Nikel dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata konsentrasi kadar nikel
pada kedalaman yang bervariasi di lokasi penelitian.
Dari uraian diatas dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwasannya faktor kemiringan
lereng (morfologi) tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap konsentrasi
kadar nikel di lokasi penelitian sedangkan untuk faktor kedalaman terdapat
perbedaan ketebalan Zona Limonite dan Zona Saprolite yang relative besar pada
jarak yang dekat.

ABSTRACT
The characteristic phenomenon of nickel concentration founded in Obi Island
of South Halmahera Regency is an interesting object to be examined. Characteristic
of concentration lateritic nickel deposits from weathering process from ultramafic
parent rock has an irregular distribution, both the thickness and levels.
How far does the role of the influence of slope (morphology) and depth in
determining the characteristics of the concentration of nickel, is a problem in this
research. The scope of research includes the characteristics of the concentration of
nickel in serpentinite rock from the parent rock (ultramafic), how far does the role of
slope (morphology) and the depth of the characteristics of nickel concentration in
the studied area.
Results of research show that the role of serpentinite rock slope
(morphology) and the depth of influence concentration of nickel in the research area
using a hypothetical deductive approach to be verification with statistical tests.
The results of statistical tests for the slope (morphology) affect the
concentration levels of nickel can be concluded that there is no relationship between
the angle of the slope with the concentration of nickel in the research locations.
Statistical test results for the depth effect on concentration levels of nickel can be
concluded that there are differences in the average concentration of nickel at a depth
which varies in location research.
From the above conclusions, it can be drawn that the slope factor
(morphology) do not have a significant influence on concentration levels of nickel in
the study sites while the depth factor shows significance influence for the thickness
difference and Limonite Zone Saprolite zone at relatively large distance.
