Pengaruh Terpaan Tayangan Korean Wave (Demam Korea) Terhadap Gaya Hidup Mahasiswi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Sumatera Utara
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini berjudul Pengaruh Terpaan Tayangan Korean Wave (Demam Korea)
Terhadap Gaya Hidup Mahasiswi FISIP USU. Penelitian ini bertujuan apakah terpaan
tayangan Korean Wave sudah sampai mempengaruhi gaya hidup Mahasiswi FISIP USU,
yang secara mengejutkan penggemar tayangan Korean Wave nya banyak. Teori yang
digunakan adalah teori Uses and Gratification. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam
penelitian ini adalah metode korelasional yaitu metode yang bertujuan untuk meneliti sejauh
mana variasi pada satu faktor berkaitan dengan variasi pada faktor lain. Populasi dalam
penelitian ini berjumlah 1954 orang , sehingga dengan rumus Taro Yamane didapati sampel
sebanyak 92 orang. Teknik penarikan sampelnya menggunakan multistage sampling yaitu
Proposional Stratific Random Sampling dan Purposive Sampling. Analisis data menggunakan
tabel tunggal dan tabel silang. Sedangkan untuk menguji hipotesa penelitian digunakan tes
statistik Spearman melalui SPSS (Statistical Product Service Solution) 13.0. hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswi FISIP USU yang menggemari Korean Wave
tertarik pada konten tayangan saja. hanya sebagian responden saja yang meniru dalam hal
konteks busana, aksesoris, tutur bahasa dan perilaku.

ABSTRACT
This study entitled the influence of exposure to impressions Korean Wave against
student lifestyle FISIP USU. The aim of this study whether exposure to impressions Korean
Wave has to affect FISIP USU student lifestyle, which is surprising fans of his many
impressions Korean Wave. The theory used is the theory of Uses and Gratification. The
method used in this study is the correlation method is a method that aims to examine the
extent to which variations in the factors associated with variations in other factors. The
population in this study amounted to 1954 people, so the formula of Taro Yamane found a
sample of 92 people. Mechanical withdrawal of the sample using multistage sampling is

single table and cross table. While the research used to test hypotheses Spearman statistical
test through SPSS (Statistical Product Service Solution) 13.0. the results showed that the
majority of FISIP USU student who enjoyed Korean Wave impressions only interested in the
content. only some of the respondents who emulate in terms of the context of clothing,
accessories, said language and behavior.
