ABSTRAK

Pondasi mesin merupakan salah satu bagian terpenting dalam bangunan
industri. Dari berbagai macam pondasi mesin, pondasi mesin tipe rangka
merupakan jenis pondasi mesin yang sering digunakan dan memiliki banyak
kelebihan dibandingkan dengan jenis lainnya. Untuk meminimalkan biaya
konstruksinya maka diperlukan proses optimasi.
Optimasi dilakukan pada hasil desain dari pondasi mesin yang meliputi
dimensi dan luas tulangan dari tiap elemen struktur. Dalam hal ini, dibuat suatu
program optimasi dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Borland C++
Builder 4.0 Proffesional berdasarkan rumus – rumus, desain variabel serta syarat
– syarat batas yang ada. Hasil desain yang sudah dioptimasi kemudian
dibandingkan dengan hasil desain awal yang belum dioptimasi.

Setelah melalui proses optimasi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa optimasi
membuat biaya konstruksi lebih murah dibandingkan dengan biaya konstruksi
tanpa optimasi dan hasil optimasi dapat digunakan sebagai pengganti hasil desain
awal.
