ABSTRAK
Bella Jingga Ardilla, 210103110182, 2011. Laporan Tugas Akhir ini
berjudul “Peran Floor Director dalam Program Televisi di Lembaga Penyiaran
Publik TVRI”. Dosen pembimbing Dandi Supriadi, S.Sos.,MA(SUT). Program
Diploma III, Pendidikan Ahli Komunikasi Terapan, Subrogram Studi Penyiaran,
Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi, Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor.
Tugas Akhir ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tugas floor director pada
tahapan praproduksi, produksi dan pasca produksi di TVRI.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan Tugas Akhir ini adalah metode
deskriptif, yaitu memaparkan dan menganalisis tugas-tugas floor director dengan
apa adanya. Sementara itu, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah
observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka serta dokumentasi pribadi.
Hasil observasi di TVRI menunjukkan bahwa floor director bekerja di
setiap tahapan produksi program. Pada proses praproduksi floor director bekerja
dengan mengajukan ide program, menjadi notulen dalam rapat praproduksi, serta
menyiapkan studio yang akan digunakan. Kemudian ketika proses produksi
berlangsung floor director bertugas memberikan tanda berupa isyarat tangan atau
cleaper kepada pengisi acara, mencatat keseluruhan produksi dan mengatur
pengisi acara. Terakhir pada tahapan pasca produksi, floor director bertugas untuk
mengurus kaset rekaman.
Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa tugas floor director pada ketiga tahapan
produksi sangat banyak dan penting. Floor director menjaga alur kerja di
lapangan dengan komunikasi yang baik.
Penulis menyarankan untuk lebih disiplin dan tegas pada waktu serta
pembawa acara, menjaga komunikasi serta koordinasi kerja antar crew dan team
produksi dan kembangkan lagi kreativitas dalam produksi program di TVRI.

Jatinangor.
Final assignment aims to explain the role of floor director in
preproduction, production and post-production at TVRI.
Descriptive method was used by the author for this final assignment. The
author analyzed and explained about floor director roles from the training job
experience at TVRI. Beside, author used observation, interview, literature
technique and documentation for collecting data.
The result from observation at TVRI shows that floor director work in
every step of production program. Before the production (preproduction) floor
director gives an idea about program, becomes a note taker during the meeting,
and preparing the studio for production. And then during the production, floor
director give hand cue or cleaper to the host, write all about the production and
manage performers. The last, after the production (post production), floor
director manage cassette.
The author concluded that the role of floor director in production phase
were many and important. Floor director keeps work flow at studio with well
communication.
The author suggested for more discipline and firm with time as well as
performers, keep the whole production team and crew well-informed and also
well-coordinated and be more creative to create new program at TVRI.
