Question

Can mouth wash, nail
polish remover, olive
oil, liquid soap, salt
water freeze?

Mouth wash

Nail polish remover
Olive oil
Liquid soap
Salt water

Hypothesis
I predict that the nail polish
remover, salt water, and mouth
wash will freeze and the olive
oil and soap will not freeze.

Procedure
1. Label your containers.

2. Pour 40 ml of each liquid in the labeled
containers.

3. Put them in the freezer over night.
4. Observe and record.

Data
The olive oil, liquid soap, salt water and
mouth wash froze. The nail polish
remover did not freeze.

The mouth wash froze it
looks like a slushy. The salt
water froze it looks like ice.
The nail polish remover did
not freeze. It looks like water.
The olive oil froze it feels oily.
The liquid soap froze. It also
looks like a slushy.

Conclusion
I learned that the nail polish remover
would not freeze I thought it would.
I was surprised that the soap froze.
One thing I will do differently next time
is freeze nail polish instead of the nail

polish remover.
My question for the further study is
can hand sanitizer freeze?
