Position your business at the forefront of Asi

Asia’s largest and most prestigious coal industry conference returns to Bali, Indonesia for its 19th year. Join
us at the event to take advantage of unlimited opportunities for networking and knowledge-sharing, and
establish your business as a leader among peers.
The International Energy Agency recently suggested that by 2017 coal is likely to rival oil as the world's biggest source of energy,
and with Indonesia having overtaken Australia as the world’s largest exporter of coal, the country plays a crucial role in international
energy supply. At the same time, Indonesia is placing an increasing focus on its own energy security, expecting to double its domestic
coal consumption to 125.7 million tonnes in the same period until 2017. Increasing domestic consumption together with continuing
uncertainty around Indonesia’s investment and export regulations are contributing to fundamental questions around changes to the
supply and demand dynamics in Asia, and where future opportunities lie. In 2013 Coaltrans Asia is delighted to welcome a top level
panel of producers, buyers, traders and key players along the supply chain to shed light on the industry’s rising trends and effective
business strategies.

Key areas of focus for the 19th Coaltrans Asia programme

•Future strategies for cutting costs and maximizing efficiencies at the mine site
•Regulatory and production challenges for Indonesia’s coal producers
•Assessing the stability and sustainability of demand growth – What is the outlook for the colossal appetites of China
and India vs. emerging demand regions
•Keynote North American coal exporters offer a perspective on the region’s role as a supplier to Asia
•Metallurgical coal prices and recoverable reserves
Coaltrans Asia has grown in line with the industry over nearly 20 years:
