1. COMPANY PROFILE
i) History and background
Bestshot Studioz is mainly an entertainment company for both still and motion picture that has its
own confidentially retained studio facilities which are used to make films and also rented to other
film makers, which is controlled by the production company. Bestshot Studioz is a Production
Company that deals with mostly video, movies and professional photographing, with is corporate
office at No: 79 Aggrey road, Port Harcourt, River State of Nigeria. Bestshot Studioz specialized
in Professional Cinematographer, Videography, photography, Jingle, Home movie production,
printing and General merchandise. The Name Best Shot was given as the Controllers of Shots in
Camera for Both motion pictures and still Images in far back 2006 when it was first registered with
the corporate affairs commission of Nigeria in Port Harcourt as an Enterprise, a production
company based in Port Harcourt River State.
The company is run by a 4 person which are the producer, director, cinematography as board of
Directors while Mr Emi is the CEO... As professionals, Best Shot Studioz has always rendered
good quality images on ground like Modelling video, Television jingles, Photographer and
documentary to companies including Shell Petroleum, Government, Industries, corporate offices
as well as sundry Videos of events within and across the Nigeria, Best Shot Studioz Starts
producing and investing in film production since 2008 and have also partners with OJ Film
production in financing numerous Nigeria Home Movies.
ii) Organization and department
COMPANY ORGANIZATION:
The company is administered by Mr Nte Emiyarei Friday. The Company Executive Officer (CEO)
he is the main head behind Bestshot Studioz Company, Mr Nte Emiyarei is a professional
cinematographer, film Producer and a photographer Alone Side with others partners at the
administrative level, who are the bosses in Bestshot Studioz. They plan, organize and get it
executed from lower level professionals. They are more involved with the planning or monetary
department, moreover every performance of the Company is done under their guidance in Best
Shot Studioz.

Chairman board of Directors:The chairman board of Directors create corporate guidelines,
strategies and operation plans. He is also responsible for the planning and management of
company projects. Planning and execution of relationships with investors. Corporate stock
affairs and investment evaluation are done under the chairman board of Directors who the same
CEO of BestShot Studioz.
Business Development Dept.: Development and planning of new productions. Research of the
developments of advanced equipment. Patent planning and management of Logistic. Such as
Management and planning of purchasing and warehousing merchandise.
Production Dept.: Production schedule planning, and management of production process in the
operational labors.
Sales & Marketing Dept. Planning sales and promotion strategies.
Expansion of markets, introduction of customers, and increase market share to achieve
company’s Sales goals. Provision of production forecast to coordinate production and sales
Audit Office: The audit evaluate the functions and operations of each department and the
execution of internal revenue of the company. In her control system. Finance Dept. Corporate
financial planning and investment management. Planning and execution of accounting and
taxes system
Operational Department: The authorities at this level incorporates both student as well as
experienced filmmakers to accomplish a production task. They take instructions from the
Executive and execute them on regular basis. Following falls under the directive of the
operational Department: Assistant Photographer, Stage manager, Senior Film Associates, Film
Mentor, and Model Choreographer. Director of Photography, Film Editor, Sound engineer,
Stunt coordinator production Associate, Trainee, Crew Members and the. Security Team who
plans the Environmental Safety & Hygiene Office Planning and implementation of the systems
relating to factory environment, security and health

The Studio is in the Main
Town which is 1 kilometers
away from the Rivers state
Government House, White State house of Port Harcourt Town. The nearest is the Central police
station (CPS) which is direct opposite to the 2 story building of Bestshot Studioz. At No: 79 Aggrey
road, Port Harcourt, River State of Nigeria. Next to FCMB Bank. At the down is a super store own
by one of the director’s wife of Bestshot Company.

I’m, Gogo Luke Smith, a final year

skilled
and
had
accomplished over two Hundred
fifty (250) hours of workplace
practicum
Production
as
an
Editor
Assistance
and
Camera
Operator at BestShot Studioz. No: 79 Aggrey road, Port Harcourt, River State of Nigeria. From
March 20, 2017 to April 28, 2017. My story will not be complete if I don’t start from the very
first day of my Internship experience.
Leaning in the actual field gives me an interesting impression about people and my profession
as a film maker. My On the Job Training (OJT) was actually scheduled to start on 30th January,
2017. But due to the fact that I was still having some of my classes going on at that term. I
called the Director of BestShot Studioz to please reschedule my Internship to 20th February,
2017 or above. The Director told me that I will be giving a chance to start on 20th March, 2017
with the next batch. He said if I can’t make it by then, I will not be giving another opportunity
to serve in the Company. Else I should apply in other company. Prior to this, I winged down
to Nigeria on the 17th of March then I started my Internship on Monday 20th of March, 2017.
The first day of my Internship, was actually full of fun with the Directors and staffs of Bestshot
Company. As the Tradition of the Studio, its demands that every Student on Practicum most
first apiece the Staffs and others formerly, by Buying Foods and Drinks for the Staff and
thereby brands him/her self-acquainted with the Workers and follow trainee’s. I Bought
Wine’s, Foods and soft Drinks which cost me Over 13,000 Naira, for everyone on the first day
we eat together that evening. Both the Directors and staffs where Happy, the Director was
excited because am the first to travel from Philippines down to the Company for internship.
As part of the Directors orientation speeches to me, he says this will mark the beginning for
student abroad to trip down to his company for Internship and he also assures me that
everything I want, will be provided. In line with this he ask me to look round the studio and
have some chart with my news friends that’s all for the day.
II). Learning and realization
I monitored and observed the studio,
Editors Desk and many other offices
and department which where for coDirectors. The Next day was the
actual exercise, I was texted with the
elementary part of editing in Adobe
Premiere, which I displayed selfconfidence. Whenever I did any
activity concerning adobe premiere, I
worked with passion not just in a haste
to finish the activity, but to add uniqueness to it. Throughout my internship, I well-organized
myself by preparing myself for the next day, in the morning my Wife who is one the Happiest,
will Wake Me up. Ready Water for me to take my bath. She told me just assumed you have
started working so don’t miss any day until you are done with your numbers of Hours, I told
her you have to trust in my ability. I was taught in Mapua Institute of Technology, she has no
idea of the stress we are going through sometimes. I told her I’m so proud to be a Mapuan
when it comes to time conscious and stress management. She smiled at me. I was place in the
Editing room with the Company Chief Editor, the room which has three Desktops systems big
screen monitors, well air-conditioned, with 3 chief Editors of the Company. Alongside with 3
training not for (ojt), Learners. They thought me how to transfer footage from HD Mini dv
desk Cassette to desktop Computer. Meanwhile I can only copied from cards to the system. I
edited a comedy film and color grade it. Work on the Audio even better than the editors there.
I have edited Tv presentation and lots more to mention before I was exposed to the film location
and film shooting style in Nigeria. As a camera assistance. I checked and monitored Camera
setting before the shooting, I shoot most times, since they enjoy my creativity in shots.
Sometimes they jest at me because my style was different from theirs. I also experienced
works such attending to customers or relating with client, I followed commands with
hesitations and I was opened to learning new ideas. Not forgetting the last day of my internship,
one of the Director offered me an opportunity to Work with him if I come back to work, I
ended my internship On the 28 of April, 2017. My certificate was given to me 1st of May 2017.
I leant so many things about life and Nigeria film industry, which I feel so excited about. I
meet famous actors which have long to see since I was born, I have a wonderful experience.

III). Self-assessment
It’s not an easy job being a
film maker outside school,
film
it’s
among
those
professions that many people
daydream or imagining to be
an author in the profession but
only few makes it to the top
and
were
known
and
appreciated today. Since when
I was still a child, I have dream of becoming the a famous actor and director of My Nation
Nigeria/Obolo, since I can find any as of then in Obolo when I was growing up, I wanted my
Nation to be proud of my contribution to the development of Obolo. with this Idea I develop more
interest and talent for Entertainment, but after schooling I now realize how broad and competitive
the profession seems to be, I began to contemplate earnestly about such perception that I had, if I
could really make a living out of the things I love so much from my childhood? loving what am
doing gives me the Courage to compete with class mate and others. The actual field needs people
like me who are passionate and determined to make earn from what they are doing. I’m so glad I
took my OJT in Nigeria, because it has open my eyes about the production system of my dear
country Nigeria, which are totally different from the Holly wood standard of production. Seriously
I’ve learned more things and increased more confidence in dealing with people, holding my
serenity in terms of my work and with the clients, dealing with long work hours that you can barely
sit when you had your Camera Rolling. I am grateful to BestShot for been kind to be for taking me
as a brother not as a student.
IV). Creative output
It is said that experience is the best teacher, my on-the-job training has really exposed me to many
Mainstream Actors of Nigeria and a taste of the real world that lies ahead after my graduation. “One
of the most significant things I’ve erudite is that talent alone is not enough, but it is very important,
but it is no guarantee of success. One must also be hardworking and should practice self-discipline
together with Sacrifice is significant. I sacrifice time for Edition and doing work for free without
getting paid.
I have lots of unforgettable experiences in location and places that we went to shoot our film, we had
sleepless night because some of important Actor have to go back after two day, in other to meet up
another shooting. On the days agreed we have to work tirelessly “I learned to sacrifice a lot of things;
I hardly have time for friends, “I learned through experiences and how to interact and communicate
with people politely. Knowing how to handle and tackle different issues and still be diplomatic in
