Purpose:
To int roduce some basic classroom
languages and act ivit ies.
Expression:
wr i t e, be qui et , st and up, si t down, open
t he door, cl ose t he door, col or, dr aw, r ead,
l i st en, et c.
Level: any
In class:
Shout t he expression clearly.
When st udent s look puzzle, act out t he
inst ruct ion.
This should be done many t imes t o make sure
st udent s get t he idea.
When st udent s are f amiliar wit h t he expression, ask
t hem t o replace you t o shout and act out t he
inst ruct ion.
2. The Fruit Basket
Purpose:
To int roduce new vocabularies or expressions /
t o expose new vocabularies or expressions.
Preparat ion: some cards/ pict ures
Expression:
Names of animals, veget ables, f ruit s, house
ware, sport s, et c
Anyone who l i kes….
Anyone who hat es….
Anyone who scar es of ….
Anyone who has….
Level: any
In class:
Place
st udent s in a big group at your opposit e
side.
Give st udent s each a card wit h a pict ure of t he
new words t o be int roduced.
Call out a word, if st udent s look puzzle, show
t hem t he pict ure.
