TINJAUAN TERHADAP GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN DINAS PERHUBUNGAN KOTA CIMAHI.
ABSTRAK
Ginar Amalia Hidayani (210403100007). “Tinjauan Terhadap Gaya
Kepemimpinan Dinas Perhubungan Kota Cimahi”, di bawah bimbingan
Duddy Zein, Drs., M.Si. Program Diploma III, Sub Program Studi
Komunikasi Bisnis. Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Padjajaran.
Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui gaya kepemimpinan di
Dishub Kota Cimahi, untuk mengetahui orientasi kepemimpinan Dishub Kota
Cimahi dan untuk mengetahui gaya komunikasi yang diterapkan di Dishub
Kota Cimahi.
Metode penulisan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif, yaitu untuk
memperoleh gambaran secara nyata mengenai kegiatan di Dishub Kota Cimahi
dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa pengamatan,
wawancara, dan studi pustaka.
Hasil penulisan menunjukan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan
di Dishub Kota Cimahi adalah proses kegiatan yang sepenuhnya
memperhatikan unsur-unsur kerja seperti hubungan antar pegawai, komunikasi,
dan unsur kepemimpinan di dalam organisasi.
Berdasarkan penulisan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Dishub Kota Cimahi
menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dan otokratis, dengan dua
orientasi kepemimpinan yaitu orientasi terhadap tugas/ pekerjaan dan orientasi
terhadap hubungan manusia dan proses kegiatan komunikasi yang dilakukan
menganut gaya komunikasi dua arah atau the equalitarian style walaupun
masih terdapat beberapa hambatan seperti belum optimalnya proses
komunikasi karena masalah struktur maupun latar belakang.
Saran untuk Dishub Kota Cimahi adalah, dengan menerapkan gaya
kepemimpinan yang tepat kepada bawahan, melaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan
dan pendidikan bagi pegawai serta memberikan perhatian lebih terhadap hasil
kerja karyawan, sebagai langkah untuk meningkatkan kinerja dari karyawan.

The purpose of this paper is to determine the style of leadership in
Department of Transportation Cimahi, determine the orientation of leadership
and communication styles whichis applied in Cimahi Affair.
The method used is descriptive, to obtaina real picture of the activity in
Departement of Transportation Cimahi by using data collection techniques
such as observation, interviews, and literature.
Results showed that the leadership style of writing that is applied in
Department of Transportation Cimahi is the activity that fully into account
elements such as the relationship between employee work, communication, and
leadership elements within the organization.
Based on this study, it can be concluded that the Transportation
Department of Cimahi implement democratic and otokrative leadership style,
with two leadership orientations, there are orientation to the task/job and
orientation to wards human relations. Besides communication activities under
taken process adheres to a two-way communication style or the equalitarian
style, although there are still some obstacles such as not optimal because of the
structure of the communication process as well as the background.
Suggestions for Department of Transportation Cimahi is, by applying the
appropriate leadership style to subordinates, conducting training and
education for employees and give more attention to the work of employees, as a
step to improve the performance of employees.
