PREFACE
In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the merciful, I have eventually
accomplished my study with this research paper.
The research paper entitled “Reading Aloud and Silent Reading Effects
toward Senior High School Students’ Reading Comprehension” is submitted to
English Education Department of Indonesia University of Education as a partial
fulfillment of the requirements for Sarjana Pendidikan degree.
This research attempts to compare the silent reading and reading aloud effects
toward high school students’ reading comprehension. In this case, the two modes of
reading were used to do the reading test. It is found that the silent reading mode
improved the students reading comprehension better than reading aloud.
Therefore, I hope this research will give some contribution to the English
education field. However, I realize that this paper contains some weaknesses. Thus, I
invite any constructive suggestions and critiques to improve the upcoming research
paper.
