Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) kompetensi
pedagogik guru fisika dalam melaksanakan pendekatan saintifik di SMA Negeri
di Kabupaten Sleman DIY; (2) kompetensi profesional guru fisika dalam
melaksanakan pendekatan saintifik di SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Sleman DIY; (3)
korelasi antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan kompetensi pedagogik dan
profesional guru fisika dalam melaksanakan pendekatan saintifik di SMA Negeri
di Kabupaten Sleman DIY; dan (4) korelasi antara pelatihan guru dengan
kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional guru fisika dalam melaksanakan
pendekatan saintifik di SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Sleman DIY.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei. Objek penelitian ini adalah
kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional guru fisika. Populasi penelitian ini adalah
guru fisika SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Sleman yang termasuk dalam proyek
percontohan (pilot project). Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru fisika
yang mengajar kelas XI MIA di SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Sleman yang
termasuk dalam proyek percontohan (pilot project) yang berjumlah 12 guru.
Instrumen penelitian dikembangkan berdasarkan indikator yang ada pada

kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional, serta indikator yang ada pada pendekatan
saintifik. Validitas instrumen dilakukan oleh 1 validator ahli dan 2 validator
praktisi, dan instrumen dinyatakan valid. Analisis data dilakukan dengan
klasifikasi berdasarkan skor rerata ideal dan simpangan baku ideal, serta uji
korelasi dengan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman dan uji korelasi koefisien
kontingensi.
Penelitian ini menghasilkan: (1) kompetensi pedagogik guru fisika dalam
melaksanakan pendekatan saintifik secara keseluruhan dikategorikan baik
berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dari triangulasi data dari instrumen angket,
observasi, dan wawancara; (2) Kompetensi profesional guru fisika dalam
melaksanakan pendekatan saintifik secara keseluruhan dikategorikan baik
berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dari triangulasi data dari instrumen angket,
observasi, dan wawancara; (3) korelasi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan
kompetensi pedagogik guru fisika dalam melaksanakan pendekatan saintifik
dikategorikan sangat lemah, dan korelasi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan
kompetensi profesional guru fisika dalam melaksanakan pendekatan saintifik
dikategorikan kuat; dan (4) tidak ada korelasi yang signifikan antara pelatihan
guru dengan kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional dalam melaksanakan
pendekatan saintifik guru fisika.

The goals of this study were to describe: (1) pedagogical competence of
physics teachers in implementing scientific approach of state senior high schools
in Sleman Dstrict DIY; (2) professional competence of physics teachers in
implementing scientific approach of state senior high schools in Sleman Distric
DIY; (3) the correlation of the headmaster leadership with pedagogical and
professional competence of physics teachers in implementing scientific approach
of state senior high schools in Sleman District DIY; and (4) the correlation of the
training joined by teachers with pedagogical and professional competence of
physics teachers in implementing scientific approach of state senior high schools
in Sleman District.
This study was a survey research. The objects of this study were
pedagogical and professional competence. The population of this study were
physics teachers of state senior high schools in Sleman District included into the
pilot project. The sample of this study was all of physics teachers of grade XI

MIA in state senior high schools in Sleman district included into the pilot project
with the number of 12 teachers. The instrument of this study was developed based
on indicators of pedagogical and professional competence and indicators of
scientific approach. The instrument was used for measuring pedagogical and
professional competences in implementing scientific approach of physics
teachers. Data analysis was performed by classifying ideal mean score and
standard deviation, as well as correlation test by using Spearman test and
contingency coefficient test.
The results show: (1) pedagogical competence of physics teachers in
implementing scientific approach over all is in good categories, based on
triangulation of questionaire, observation, and interview; (2) professional
competence of physics teachers in implementing scientific approach over all is in
good categories, based on triangulation of questionnaire, observation, and
interview; (3) the correlation of the headmaster leadership with pedagogical
competence of physics teachers in implementing scientific approach is in very
weak correlation, and the correlation of the headmaster leadership with
professional competence in implementing scientific approach is in strong
correlation; (4) there is no significant correlation between the training joined by
teachers with pedagogical and professional competence of physics teachers.
