KEGIATAN PELESTARIAN KOLEKSI BAHAN PUSTAKA DI PERPUSTAKAAN PUSAT SUMBER DAYA AIR TANAH DAN GEOLOGI LINGKUNGAN.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini membahas kegiatan pelestarian koleksi bahan pustaka di
Perpustakaan Pusat Sumber Daya Air Tanah dan Geologi Lingkungan Bandung.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pelaksanaan
kegiatan preservasi dan konservasi pada koleksi bahan pustaka berdasarkan teori
Piramida Preservasi oleh Rene Teygeler yang meliputi Preservasi Preventif,
Konservasi Pasif, dan Konservasi Aktif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian
ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus deskriptif.
Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, studi
kepustakaan, dan triangulasi data. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa
kegiatan pelestarian koleksi bahan pustaka di Perpustakaan Pusat Sumber Daya
Air Tanah dan Geologi Lingkungan Bandung yang meliputi Preservasi Preventif,
Konservasi Pasif, dan Konservasi Aktif adalah cukup baik.

ABSTRACT

This research discussed the issue of preservation activities of Library
Materials Collection at The Library of Groundwater Resources and Environment
Geology Center, Bandung. The aim of this research is to find out the extent of
implementation of the preservation and conservation of library collection based
on the theory of a Pyramid Preservation by Rene Teygeler covering preventive
preservation, which includes as the preservation of conservation passive, and
conservation active. This research method used was a qualitative research
methods with descriptive case study approach. Data collection techniques used
were observation, interviews, library research, and data triangulation. The results
of this study indicate that conservation of library collections in the Library
Resource Center Groundwater and Environmental Geology of Bandung which
includes preventive Preservation, Conservation Passive and Active Conservation
is good enough.
