Kegiatan Preservasi Koleksi Bahan Pustaka Di Perpustakaan Pusat Survey Geologi Bandung.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami kebijakan preservasi
preventif, pengaturan ruang penyimpanan koleksi dalam preservasi preventif, keahlian staf
dalam kegiatan preservasi preventif, dan kendala dalam kegiatan preservasi preventif di
perpustakaan Pusat Survey Geologi Bandung sebagai usaha melestarikan koleksi. Dalam
penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan
data yaitu wawancara, observasi, dan studi pustaka. Kemudian untuk memeriksa keabsahan
data digunakan teknik triangulasi, hasil penelitian mendapatkan untuk kegiatan pengaturan
ruangan dan suhu belum sesuai dengan teori yang ada.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to identify and understand the policy of preventive
preservation, collection storage space setting in preventive preservation, preservation staff
expertise in preventive activities, and the constraints in preventive preservation activities in
library of Geological Survey Center Bandung as an effort to preserve the collection. In this
study the method used is a qualitative method with data collected techniques are interviews,
observation, and study the literature. To check the validity of the data used triangulation,

then the results of this study found that collection storage space setting and the room
temperature is not in accordance with the existing theory.
