ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the correlation between paternal involvement with
achievement motivation of student. Using saturated sampling technique, the
research subjects are 40 students of 3 automotive 2 SMK 2 Mei Bandar Lampung.
Paternal involvement variable measured by using a scale of paternal involvement
proposed by Amalia (2012) which has been modified, measured by dimensions of
paternal involvement by Lamb, Pleck, Charnov, and Levine (Doherty, Kouneski,
& Erickson, 1998) consists of 22 items and achievement motivation variable
measured by achievement motivation scale compiled by Nugroho (2009) which
has been modified. The achievement motivation scale measured by dimensions of
achievement motivation by McClelland (1987) consists of 21 items. Data analysis
using Pearson product moment correlation technique and the result obtained r =
