Abstract
The Faculty of Medicine-Universitas Kristen Indonesia (FIvI-UKI) implemented a
new curdculum cdled competence-basedcuriculurrr (CBQ tecently,using a problernbasedleaming @BL) approach. In conjunction with this, Task Fotce fot HIV& AIDS
of FM-UKI establisheda module for HfV & AIDS. Prior to inco{Poratethe module
to the cote curdculum, a one-month try outwas conducted.
Seventysix students ftorn 8n to 9e semestetwere involved in this try oug divided into
2 intervention groups,consistingof 19 and 28 students,and one conftol group with
29 students.Tutodal sessionswere done everyMonday and Thutsday.Short lectutes
focusingon important and tecent issueswith respectto the obiectiveof the scenados
wete pt'veneverydayexceptMonday and Thursday.
Studentstook 3 wdtten testi.e.pre-,post-test,and a 6nal test.At the end,an Objective
Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) was catded out for intetvention groups:
Studentsalso evaluatedtutors, modules and the leaming process.
The resultsshowedthat there wete significant differencesin pte- and post-testbetween
