ABSTRACT: The research discussed interference morphological Indonesia
language in Arabic language in student’s writing of MAN Jombang. This
research aims to describe the kinds of Indonesian grammatical
interference in using Arabic language that consist of morphological fields
and to identify the factors that lead the interference happened. The
writer uses qualitative approach. And the sources of data were student’s
writing discourse and respondent. The techniques of data collection are
by giving students assignment in writing discourse, observation, in depth
interview and documentary. The result shows the error caused by
Indonesian morphological interference in using Arabic language in
student writing. The errors in morphological area involve the interference
in verb use, that is tenses use and concordance between subject and
predicate, in plurals and demonstrative use. The factor emerged the
morphological interference can be identified into linguistic. Linguistic
issues entails the student incapability in mastering the morphological
rules of Arabic that they have studied before and vocabulary acquisition.
