RELEVANSI KURIKULUM
MATA KULIAH PENDIDIKAN AGAMA KATOLIK
DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KARAKTER MAHASISWA
(STUDI EVALUATIF PADA PRODI PGSD STKIP WEETEBULA)
Latar belakang penelitian evaluasi ini adalah lemahnya karakter di kalangan
mahasiswa yang disebabkan antara lain lemahnya penyelenggaraan pendidikan yang terjadi
di Indonesia. Dan alasan utama dilakukan penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada PGSD adalah
belum ada evaluasi terhadap kurikulum mata kuliah Pendidikan Agama Katolik oleh pihak
manapun sejak Prodi PGSD didirikan pada tahun 2009 dan memperole ijin dari Kementerian
Pendidikan Nasional pada tahun 2013. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi relevansi
konteks, masukan, proses, dan hasil kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Katolik dalam
mengembangkan karakter mahasiswa PGSD. Penelitian evaluasi ini dilakukan berdasarkan
model evaluasi CIPP (context, input, process, product). Aspek konteks dalam penelitian ini
meliputi visi, misi, tujuan, manfaat, mahasiswa, dosen, dukungan sarana, tujuan Pendidikan
Agama Katolik. Aspek masukan dalam penelitian ini meliputi kompetensi dasar Pendidikan
Agama Katolik, aspek-aspek kompetensi Pendidikan Agama Katolik, Satuan Acara
Perkuliahan, sarana pembelajaran, materi pembelajaran,
karakter dalam
materi
pembelajaran. Aspek proses dalam penelitian ini meliputi tahap kegiatan mengajar,

keterampilan dasar mengajar, proses komunikasi dan interaksi dosen, pola komunikasi dan
aktivitas, peran dosen dalam pembelajaran, pemanfaatan alat/bahan/media/sumber
pembelajaran, metode/strategi pembelajaran, karakter mahasiswa dalam proses
pembelajaran. Aspek hasil dalam penelitian ini meliputi pencapaian dan pengukuran hasil
kurikulum, kesesuaian hasil kurikulum, karakter dalam hasil kurikulum. Data tentang aspek
konteks diperoleh melalui angket dan wawancara kepada Ketua Yapnusda, Ketua STIP,
Kaprodi PGSD, dan Dosen mata kuliah Pendidikan Agama Katolik. Data tentang aspek
input diperoleh melalui angket kepada Ketua STIP, Kaprodi PGSD, dan Dosen mata kuliah
Pendidikan Agama Katolik serta studi dokumen kurikulum PGSD. Data tentang aspek
proses diperoleh melalui angket kepada Dosen mata kuliah Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan
observasi di kelas. Dan data tentang hasil diperoleh dengan angket kepada dosen dan
mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan: (1) Konteks kurikulum mata kuliah
Pendidikan Agama Katolik relevan dalam mengembangkan karakter mahasiswa PGSD.
Namun dosen mata kuliah Pendidikan Agama Katolik tidak relevan karena kualifikasi
pendidikan masih Sarjana atau S-1. (2) Input atau masukan kurikulum mata kuliah
Pendidikan Agama Katolik relevan dalam mengembangkan karakter mahasiswa PGSD. (3)
Proses kurikulum mata kuliah Pendidikan Agama Katolik relevan dalam mengembangkan
karakter mahasiswa PGSD. Namun pemanfaatan alat/bahan/media/sumber belajar belum
maksimal. (4) Hasil kurikulum mata kuliah Pendidikan Agama Katolik relevan dalam
mengembangkan karakter mahasiswa PGSD.

RELEVANCE OF CURRICULUM
OF THE CATHOLIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION SUBJECT
IN DEVELOPING THE CHARACTER OF COLLEGE STUDENTS
(EVALUATIVE STUDY AT THE DEPARTMENT OF PGSD STKIP WEETEBULA)
The background of this evaluation research is the lack of character among students
caused, among others, the lack of organization of education in Indonesia. And the main
reason of this research is conducted in PGSD is that there was no yet an evaluation on the
curriculum of the Catholic Religious Education Subject by any researcher since this PGSD
Department was started in 2009 and got permit from the Ministry of National Education
in 2013. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the relevance of the context, input,
process and the product of curriculum of the Catholic Religious Education Subject in

developing the character of PGSD students. This evaluation research was made based CIPP
evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The context aspect in this research
includes vision, mission, goals, benefits, students, lecturer, supporting facilities, and the aim
of the Catholic Religious Education Subject. The input aspect in this research includes basic
competence of the Catholic Religious Education Subject, aspects of Catholic Religious
Education competency, teaching programs, learning facilities, learning materials, and
character in learning materials. The process aspect in this research includes phase of
teaching activities, basic teaching skills, lecturer communication and interaction process,
communication and activities pattern, role of the lecturer in learning process, the utilization
of tools/materials/media/learning resource, learning method, character of students in the
learning process. The product aspect in this research includes of the attainment and
measurement of curriculum result, conformity of curriculum result, and character in
curriculum result. Data about context was obtained through questionnaire and interview
with the foundation director of Yapnusda, STKIP President, PGSD Department Chairman,
and Lecturer of the Catholic Religious Education Subject. Data about input was obtained
through questionnaire to the STKIP President, PGSD Department Chairman and Lecturer of
the catholic religious education subject and also from the study on the PGSD curriculum
documents. Data about process was obtained through the questionnaire to Lecturer of the
catholic religious education subject and through class observation. Data about product was
obtained from the questionnaire to the Lecturer and Students. The result of this evaluation

research showed: (1) The context of curriculum of the Catholic Religious Education
Subject is relevant in developing character of PGSD students. , but the lecturer of the
Catholic Religious Education Subject is not relevant because unqualified educational
background that is undergraduate (S-1). (2) The input of curriculum of the Catholic
Religious Education Subject is relevant in developing the character of the PGSD students.

(3) The process of curriculum of the Catholic Religious Education Subject is relevant in
developing the character of the PGSD students but the utilization of
tools/materials/media/learning resource was not maximal yet. (4) The product of curriculum
of the Catholic Religious Education Subject is relevant in developing character of the PGSD
students.
