Abstract
The aim of this research was to describe the problem and problems‟
distribution faced by tenth grade students of accounting class in SMK Negeri 1 Banyumas in writing future plans. Descriptive method was used as the design of this research. The number of population of this research was 108 students.
Random sampling was used as the technique to select the sample. The total number of sample was 32 students. In collecting the data, the writer used writing test as the instrument. The writing aspects analyzed were content, organization, vocabulary, grammar, and mechanics. The result of this research revealed that in general, the tenth grade students of accounting class in SMK Negeri 1 Banyumas faced problems in writing future plans. It was proved by finding 242 problems. In detail, 92 or 38.02% were problems in grammar, 49 or 20.25% in mechanics, 38 or 15.70% in content, 32 or 13.23% in organization, and 31 or 12.80% in vocabulary. The writer concluded that tenth grade students of accounting class in SMK Negeri 1 Banyumas had faced problems in writing future plans. The suggestion for the teachers are to explain and give more exercises on making a good paragraph. For students, they need to study harder and learn more about making a good paragraph.
