Sebagai Penyebarluasan Informasi Pada Media Cetak Oleh Humas Sekretariat
Daerah Kabupaten Sumedang”. Dosen pembimbing Dr. Lukiati Komala, M.Si.
Diploma III PAKT Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Padjadjaran.
Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengelolaan press release
sebagai penyebarluasan informasi pada media cetak oleh Humas Sekretariat
Daerah Kabupaten Sumedang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan
observasi, wawancara dan studi kepustakaan.
Hasil pembahasan ini menunjukan bahwa penglolaan press release ada
beberapa tahap yang dimulai dari peliputan, pencarian data dan dokumentasi, serta
pengelolaan data hasil liputan menjadi sebuah press release sampai kepada
penyebarluasan pada media cetak. Data yang didapatkan oleh Humas Setda Kab.
Sumedang diolah menjadi sebuah press release sesuai dengan 5 W + 1 H dan
gaya piramida terbalik agar press release nya mempunyai news value (nilai
berita). Setelah data di olah menjadi sebuah press release kemudian
disebarluaskan ke media cetak lokal dan regional. Pendistribusian press release
tersebut terdapat beberapa tahap sampai dikirimkannya ke media cetak melalui
email dan faximile sebagai bukti fisik dikirim oleh Humas Sekretariat Daerah
Kabupaten Sumedang. Alasan penggunaan media cetak sebagai penyebarluasan
informasi karena masyarakat Sumedang gemar berlangganan surat kabar.
Simpulan yang didapat bahwa pengelolaan press release sudah sesuai
dengan aturan dan pedoman pembuatan serta penyebarluasan press release.
Pemilihan media cetak sangat tepat di wilayah Kabupaten Sumedang yang
dominan masyarakatnya gemar dan senang membaca surat kabar. Saran yang
dapat penulis berikan sebaiknya Humas Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Sumedang
dalam penulisan Press Release dibuat lebih menarik lagi, sehingga masyarakat
lebih menyukai mengenai informasi yang ada di pemerintahan.

The purpose of this writing is to know the management of press releases as
a dissemination of information in print media by public relation secretariat
Sumedang district. Data was collected by observation, interviews and literature
studies. The results of these study showed that the management of the press
release there are several stages starting from the reporting, data research and
documentation, as well as data management of reporting result into a press
release to the dissemination on the print media. The data obtained by the Public
Relations Secretariat Sumedang District processed into a press release
correspond to the 5W + 1H and an inverted pyramid style so its press release has
news value. After the data process into a press release and then disseminated to
the local and regional print media. Distribution of the press release, there are
several stages to sent the print media via email and faximile as physical evidence
was sent by the Public Relations Secretariat Sumedang District. The reason the
use of print media as the dissemination of information, because the public love to
subscribe the newspaper .
The conclusions is that the management of press releases already fit with
the rules and guidelines for the creation and dissemination of press releases.
Selection of print media are very precise in the Sumedang District, because
people are fond and happy to reading the newspapers. The suggestion that the
author can provide better public relations Secretariat Sumedang District in the
writing of the Press Release made more attractive again, so that the public prefers
about information in the government.
