ABSTRACT
ACFTA that had been implemented since 2005 and fully implemented in 2010 has negative and
positive impact for Indonesia. The purpose of this paper is to simulate the impact of ACFTA on
Indonesian economics. The simulation is done by using SAM multiplier of Indonesia from year
2005. The choice of using this data instead of Indonesia 2010 input-output tables is because
simulation using input-output will only show the impact on production sectors. Using SAM, it can
also be shown the impact on the welfare of the economics actors such as labors, capital owners,
households, firms and the government. Limitation of additional data that is needed to simulate the
shock make the simulation can only be done to show the negative effect of ACFTA. The negative
effect is simulated by cutting of the import tariff to zero for agriculture and electronic commodities,
and commodities from food and textile industry. The simulation shows that all production sectors
and commodities in domestic market get negative impact. Almost all of the economics actors also
get negative impact, except for the firms. This indicates that there are many importers in domestic
market. This condition could threaten domestic commodities or production sectors.
