Skripsi dengan judul “Identifikasi Kesulitan Belajar Matematika Peserta
Didik Kelas IV MI Miftahul Huda Ngantru Tulungagung” yang ditulis oleh Binti
Anisa, NIM. 1725143042, Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Fakultas
Tarbiyah dan Ilmu Keguruan Institut Agama Islam Negeri Tulungagung,
pembimbing Ibu Musrikah S.Pd.I M.Pd.
Kata kunci : Identifikasi, Kesulitan Belajar, Matematika.
Penelitian dalam skripsi ini dilatarbelakangi oleh sebuah fakta bahwa
dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar di sekolah sering kali peserta didik mengalami
kesulitan dalam belajar, terlebih pada mata pelajaran matematika. Kesulitan
belajar yang dialami oleh peserta didik disebabkan oleh berbagai macam faktor.
Kesulitan-kesulitan belajar yang dialami oleh peserta didik harus diketahui oleh
guru mata pelajaran, kemudian mencari solusi yang tepat serta mengatasi
kesulitan belajar tersebut agar tercapai tujuan pendidikan yang sesuai diharapkan.
Fokus penelitian dalam penulisan skripsi ini adalah: 1) Apa saja jenis-jenis
kesulitan belajar pada mata pelajaran matematika materi pecahan peserta didik
kelas IV MI Miftahul Huda Ngantru Tulungagung? 2) Apa saja faktor penyebab
kesulitan belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika materi pecahan
peserta didik kelas IV MI Miftahul Huda Ngantru Tulungagung? 3) Upaya apa
yang dilakukan guru untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar pada mata pelajaran
matematika materi pecahan peserta IV MI Miftahul Huda Ngantru Tulungagung?.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian ini
menggunakan penelitian deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian terletak di MI Miftahul
Huda Ngantru Tulungagung. Data yang peneliti dapatkan yaitu dari guru mata
pelajaran matematika kelas IV, kepala sekolah, dan peserta didik kelas IV.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.
Observasi digunakan untuk memperoleh data bagaimana kompetensi guru,
kegiatan pembelajaran guru, dan aktivitas peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Tes
digunakan untuk memperoleh data tentang pemahaman peserta didik terhadap
materi pecahan. Wawancara digunakan untuk menggali data tentang peserta didik.
Dokumentasi digunakan untuk memperoleh data tentang dokumen sekolah dan
kegiatan pembelajaran peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran Matematika.
Hasil penelitian yang sudah dilakukan oleh peneliti yaitu 1) Jenis kesulitan
belajar pada mata pelajaran matematika materi pecahan peserta didik kelas IV MI
MI Miftahul Huda Ngantru Tulungagung, yaitu, ketidak mampuan peserta didik
dalam penguasaan konsep secara benar, kesulitan dalam menggunakan konsep,
kesulitan dalam menggunakan prinsip, gangguan tingkah laku, kesulitan belajar
yang berhubungan dengan perkembangan, kesulitan belajar akademik, ketidak
tertarikan, ketidakmampuan menguasai prosedur aritmatika, lambat belajar,
ketidak cermatan menggunakan oprasi hitung. 2) Faktor penyebab kesulitan
belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Matematika materi pecahan peserta
didik Kelas IV MI Miftahul Huda Ngantru Tulunggung, yaitu faktor kondisi fisik,
faktor lingkungan, faktor motivasi atau sikap, faktor psikologis. 3) Upaya yang
dilakukan guru untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar pada mata pelajaran Matematika

materi pecahan peserta didik Kelas IV MI Miftahul Huda Ngantru Tulungagung,
yaitu melakukan pendekatan secara individu, melakukan bimbingan, memberikan
kebiasaan untuk berlatih mengerjakan soal, memotivasi peserta didik, dan
melakukan evaluasi.
Skripsi ini bermanfaat bagi guru matematika kelas IV MI Miftahul Huda
Ngantru Tulungagung yaitu sebagai sumbangan pemikiran dalam mengetahui
kesulitan belajar dan mencari solusi untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar. Bagi
peserta didik kelas IV MI Miftahul Huda Ngantru Tulungagung sebagai bahan
renungan untuk memperbaiki belajarnya sehingga prestasi belajar meningkat.
Bagi para peneliti lain sebagai bahan referensi yang cukup berarti bagi peneliti
lebih lanjut.

In this research in this thesis is motivated by a fact that in teaching and
learning activities in schools often times learners have difficulty in learning,
especially on mathematics subjects. Learning difficulties experienced by learners
are caused by a variety of factors. Learning difficulties experienced by learners
should be known by subject teachers, then find the right solution and overcome
the learning difficulties in order to achieve the desired educational objectives are

The focus of research in the writing of this thesis is: 1) What are the types
of learning difficulties in the subjects of mathematics material fractions of
students in fifth grade in Islamic Elementary School in Ngantru Tulungagung? 2)
What are the caused of learning difficulties learners in the subjects of mathematics
materials fractions of students in fifth grade in Islamic Elementary School in
Ngantru Tulungagung? 3) What efforts do teachers to overcome learning
difficulties in subjects mathematics material fractions IV participants for Islamic
Elementary School in Ngantru Tulungagung?.
This research uses qualitative approach and this research type using
descriptive research. The research location is located at Islamic Elementary
School in Ngantru Tulungagung. The data that researchers get from the teachers
of the subjects of mathematics class IV, principals, and students class IV. This
research uses observation, test, interview and documentation method. Observation
is used to obtain data on how the competence of teachers, teacher learning
activities, and activities of learners in learning. The test is used to obtain data
about learners' understanding of fractional materials. Interviews are used to
extract data about learners. Documentation is used to obtain data about school
documents and learning activities of learners in the process of learning
Mathematics.
The result of the research that has been done by the researcher is 1) Type
of learning difficulties in the subject of mathematics of the fractional material of
the fourth for fifth grade in Islamic Elementary School in Ngantru Tulungagung,
that is, the inability of the learners in the correct mastery of the concept, the
difficulty in using the concept, the difficulty in using the principle, behavioral
disorder, learning difficulties which is related to the development, academic
learning difficulties, disinterest, inability to master arithmetic procedures, slow
learning, inaccurate use of counting opacity. 2) the cause of the learning

difficulties of the students in the subjects of Mathematics of Fractional Material of
the students
for fifth grade in Islamic Elementary School in Ngantru
Tulungagung Tulungagung, that is the condition of physical condition,
environmental factor, motivation or attitude factor, psychological factor. 3)
Efforts made by teachers to overcome learning difficulties in subjects
Mathematics materials fractions of students for fifth grade in Islamic Elementary
School in Ngantru Tulungagung, which is to approach individually, conduct
guidance, provide habits to practice doing questions, motivate learners, and
evaluate.
This thesis is useful for fourth grade math teacher for fifth grade in Islamic
Elementary School in Ngantru Tulungagung is as a contribution of thinking in
knowing learning difficulties and finding solutions to overcome learning
difficulties. For fourth grade students grade in Islamic Elementary School in
Ngantru Tulungagung Tulungagung as a reflection to improve learning so that
learning achievement increases. For other researchers as reference materials are
quite meaningful for researchers further.
